Description
It’s time to “Lead Forward.”
In the past, business leadership was strictly an autocratic proposition. But times have changed, and companies are just discovering they must change with them. In Chase Greatness: Enlightened Leadership for the Next Generation of Disruption, CEO Rajeev Kapur reveals how most business leadership is out of step with evolving times and values―which has negatively impacted both the effectiveness of our workforces as well as the bottom line.
The good news is it’s never too late to “Chase Greatness” in your leadership role. Kapur provides a powerful toolbox of practical advice that will enable you to not only be profitable but also reflect values that will enhance lives and make the world a better place.
Advance Praise
“I have the pleasure of working every day with CEOs and leaders across the globe. Rajeev makes a great case for why leadership needs to change. The next generation of leaders will likely face the most significant changes in modern history, ones that might rival the upheavals of the Industrial Revolution two centuries ago. The winners of the future will be the ones who understand those changes first. I highly recommend this book for those that either lead or aspire to lead growth-oriented businesses.”
―MARK MOSES, CEO and founding partner, CEO Coaching International
“I have had the pleasure of knowing and being a mentor to Rajeev for over twenty years. In Chase Greatness he has taken the leadership lessons he’s learned and artfully crafted a book that is both compelling and inspiring.”
―BILL AMELIO, executive chairman and Co-CEO, DoubleCheck Solutions; former CEO, Lenovo and Avnet
“Rajeev Kapur combines his extensive experience as a CEO, lessons from other business leaders, historical insights, and the latest data to present a very readable perspective on the leadership approach and skills that will be necessary to succeed in a post-pandemic disrupted world.”
―JEFF KLEIN, former executive chair, 1105 Media, Inc. (101 Communications); and SVP and general manager, News at Los Angeles Times

Chase Greatness is about following the principles of an Enlightened Leader. This means encouraging employees to be their best while acting ethically and taking into account the world around you. I love this concept of holistic leadership. It gives wonderful food for thought about how we lead. I really enjoyed the audiobook narration, this will be perfect for the leader on the go!
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC. All thoughts are my own.
“When everything changes, leadership must too.” Kapur discusses the changing environment of business and how expectations of workers were modified due to COVID-19 and societal upheavals. Chasing greatness in this new environment is still possible, but there are some new ways that leaders and managers must think and approach workers on their way to success. Emphasis is placed on the diversity of staff as a strength. More diverse companies tend to make more money and since money is king in the business world, so too is diversity. With a rising workforce of Millennials and Gen-Z employees, a proactive culture will keep them engaged with your company. This title keeps readers engaged with “enlightened leader thought exercises” at the end of each chapter and “enlightened leadership in action” examples of people that exemplified a lot of the traits that Kapur sees as useful for leaders. A new year brings new opportunities and this read will guide you through the different landscape we see ourselves in for 2023..
This business book is surprisingly well-written while being packed with statistics, examples, stories, and questions to ask yourself and/or your team. I especially appreciate how the author explains that generational behavior of disengaging from the workplace, not because of the reasons we get fed by the media but because of IMO extremely valid reasons like values matter and companies put profits over their people and the world they live in. The narration was well-done.
