I received an ARC through "NetGalley" and I am voluntarily leaving an honest reveiw.

This story will hook you right from the beginning. It starts with an unnamed high executive official who winds up killing a woman in Atlantic City. It then jumps to Russia where a nuclear scientist that with the Cold War finishing has fallen on hard times. He has decided to steal nuclear material that can be used to build a nuclear bomb. The story then goes to the U.S. where information has been learned and introduces Cam who the President has asked to help foil the sale of thaat nuclear material. It also introduces the fact that there is a mole in one of the agencies that is providing information to a terrorist group.

Read the story of Cam's pursuit of the mole in addition to what actions he had to take if he was to foil the plan for stopping the buikd and use of a nuclear bomb. See what hurdles were tried to prevent his mission and what steps the mole was willing to take to prevent his discovery.

The ending wraps up the story quite well. This is a definite read that you need to do.

This was another book that I had received from the author and the fine folks at NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.

The Russia Leak is a super-tense super-believable standalone debut thriller. If you like a layered character (Warfield), breathtaking twists, and true edge-of-your-seat stakes,

The one major issue that I found with this novel is that the subplot of Fumio Yoshida, a Japanese transportation minister, in what appears to be another subplot unrelated to the main one of political scandal as a low-level politician crosses the line and faces the consequences many years later. While both tales were good, I think that would have enjoyed the novel more if the story had been more about the first tale and this had been more fleshed out

Fans of Tom Clancy and Vince Flynn would enjoy this novel as two individual tales of terrorism and political intrigue are attempted to be intertwined as they are tenuously tied together only the use of the protagonist Cam Warfield, a former army colonel who has managed to create a training school for pupils of the FBI and CIA.

While the tales are full of excitement and action, the fact that the novel is actually two tales and not one story would definitely cause a lower rating on my part. As such, I would rate this book a solid three and three-quarter stars out of five.

As with all my literary ramblings, this is just my five cents worth.

The Russia Leak: A White House hopeful is a real page turner!

As per the blurb, we encounter the mistress, extortion, espionage, murder and revenge; all mixed up in a tangle of stories and clues, with clever cliff hangers throughout the book making it difficult to put down. The characters are well developed and the insight into the US political system is well researched and very believable - and clearly corrupt.

It's easy to see that Ganaway is passionate about the thriller genre and influenced by some of the best writers including Connelly, Baldacci, Grisham, and Clancy.

Would it be premature to wish that there will be a sequel?
