Description

In a current day suspense thriller, The Hunt for Raubgold is a story of mystery, intrigue, and the quest of millions who have searched for Raubgold-the gold Germany confiscated in World War II. In book three of the bestselling Amy Prowers series, Katherine Burlake reveals where the past becomes the present.

Nothing brings out the blood in a search as much as the word gold. This gold is different. It represents the souls of the millions of people who were killed in

WWII. The war ended seventy-five years ago, but the search for the gold has never ended.

Governments, treasure seekers, and political splinter groups have failed, since World War II, to find all the gold confiscated from concentration camps and

other countries Germany occupied. Today the gold could be worth over a billion dollars to whoever finds it.

  • Is it somewhere in Germany or another country?
  • Was it destroyed during the war or lost?
  • Is the missing gold only a myth?

Amy Prowers’s husband was obsessed with finding it. Did he leave clues behind before his mysterious death? A bag hidden for 20 years is uncovered by an avalanche that destroyed a wall in her home. In it is a map and journal. Now Amy intends to find the gold and vindicate his search.

This was such a good mystery book, it was what I was hoping for from the third book in the Amy Prowers Thriller series. I was invested in what was happening in this suspense thriller, I enjoyed the characters and getting to go on this adventure. I hope this continues and I enjoyed the way Katherine Burlake wrote this.

"Ace had emailed her that the delays for security alerts were over and that he was finally on a flight to Berlin. He said he wanted to return to a city with culture. She was sure he was fed up with his Arabian Peninsula assignment because he added he had enough of the sun—and sand."

Nazi gold…Is it real? Does it still exist somewhere in the world, or was all of it found at the end of WWII?

Gold drives people crazy like almost nothing else. Individuals and groups will seemingly do anything to get their hands on it. Or, do anything - even murder.

Amy Prower’s deceased husband was one of the people on the trail for the lost Nazi gold. The satchel where he kept his journal and maps were lost following his unexpected death. A sudden avalanche at the Colorado home of Amy uncovers the satchel.

Now, she is on the trail.

This is a well written and plotted book. Ms. Burlake has created interesting characters, both good and bad. The novel moves along at a comfortable pace. All of the machinations of the less than honest characters were well told, with all the attendant deviousness required of a “bad guy.” I enjoyed the book. I am now anxious to look at Ms. Burlake’s other works,

I want to thank NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for forwarding to me a copy of this good book for me to read, enjoy and review. The opinions expressed in this review are solely my own. .
