Advance Praise

"I was very reassured by this book, on the one hand, because it showed in detail over long pages that this problem does not only affect me sometimes, but also the majority of people. On the other hand, showed me the solution methods that can help me if I would sometimes feel depressed and anxious, and if I would start overthinking again.

For example, the importance of adequate and restful sleep and diet, which can greatly contribute to our well-being. I once read somewhere that sleep, diet and silence are the best cures for most ailments. That might actually be true.

I recommend everyone to read this book! "

Anxiety and overthinking are quite prevalent in society, so this little book, full of solid tips and advice, could be helpful for just about everyone to read. Information is presented in a way that is easy to understand. The introduction gives an overview of what overthinking is, and the remaining chapters go over ways to try and help the reader stop overthinking. Topics such as negative thinking and perfectionism are covered, along with time management and self-discipline. Some information may not be new, but the refresher could still be helpful to readers.

A short, concise overview of the different types of thinking that lead to rumination and solid suggestions for how to get one's life back on track. I found the affirmations and review of cognitive distortions very helpful and one is able to get some ideas to try without having to read hundreds of pages, which was also nice.

Just what I needed to read to help my thought process! Excellent book & made me feel less alone in that “overthinking world” I feel myself in.

Enjoyed the breakdown of understanding & overcoming overthinking.

Recommend to those needing a bit of insight into their own mind, how to settle their thoughts & redirect them into positive things/energy!

Lara Noble's STOP OVERTHINKING AND GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER is that rarest and most wonderful of self-help books: she describes clearly and succinctly the patterns and habits of thinking that keep us from living in the moment, from enjoying our lives, and evolving. I found myself scribbling notes and nodding agreement throughout. I particularly appreciated how straightforward she is in describing and helping resolve the thorniest and most terrible ways we keep ourselves small. I received a copy of this book and these thoughts are my own, unbiased opinions.

This book is all about overthinking and steps to embrace it. The author explains that overthinking is very common, and we should just embrace it and think that it is very common and leave it at that. And then the author provides great exercises to practice mindfulness and how you can practice conscious living.

Overall, it is a great insightful book with practical solutions on conscious thinking.

I asked to read this book as I loved the title and as someone who struggles with anxiety I thought it would be something that might help me, It is helpful if you have never looked into this issue before, it’s easy to read and follow, but it’s nothing I haven’t been told or read before and unfortunately although I know most things I should be doing, try telling my brain the same thing lol. One thing I did find interesting though was the type of stress head I am, which is a catastrophiser so I shall have to work harder at quieting my mind.

With the constant bombardment of information (real or not so much), it's easy to get overwhelmed by the day to day.

Author Noble talks readers through how to find balance and calm when the chaos around us seems to take over and keep us unproductive.

Whether it's to find ways to clear your head for work or play, her simple steps can break the cycle of negativity and soul-sucking second-guessing.

With less than 200 pages, it's a quick and informative read that can change a good day to a great one.

I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
