Protesters at the President’s rally morph into a mob that storms the Capitol, right-wing extremists in their midst. Hostages are taken, the House Speaker among them.
During a horrific standoff, extremist militias unleash deadly terrorist attacks across the nation.
The President is pressured to declare martial law to quell the violence – and justify refusing to leave office. Can democracy survive?
"January 6: A Novel is a terrifying, gripping account that exceeds Sinclair Lewis' dystopian novel It Can't Happen Here because the violence and chaos DID happen here... It's a chilling read because the characters and details are so real. Read it to prepare for the next assault on our democracy." - Margaret Engel, journalist and co-author of the one-woman shows Red Hot Patriot and Erma Bombeck: At Wit's End

I love the unique concept of this book. It is fast paced and suspenseful, the perfect combination to me. I enjoyed the details and dialogue and appreciated the multiple points of view. I would recommend this for anyone who loves speculative fiction, especially when based on a current event fresh in our memories.
