Description
She wanted a new beginning—she found an unfinished story.
Two years ago, Aisling Farrell fell hard for a charming Irish tour guide during a whirlwind six-day romance. Finn Larkin was intense, magnetic—the kind of man who made promises that felt like forever. But reality had other plans, and when she returned home, their connection didn’t survive the journey.
Now, after the heartbreaking loss of her mother, Aisling moves to Ireland to honor her mother’s final wish. A job at O’Connell Tours—the company that once brought her so much joy—seems like the perfect fresh start. Until she walks into the office and sees him.
Finn Larkin isn’t just still here—he’s the company’s acting CEO. And if time has changed anything, it definitely isn’t the way he looks at her.
Their chemistry is undeniable, but so is the weight of everything left unsaid. Is this their second chance or just a cruel twist of fate?
Set against the breathtaking landscapes of Ireland, Twist of Fate is a sweeping, emotional romance about love lost, love found, and the undeniable pull of destiny. Perfect for fans of second chances, unforgettable journeys, and slow-burn chemistry that smolders.

Twist of Fate is a story of second chances, chance meetings and, as made apparent in the title, fate.
Aisling’s journey to find healing in Ireland with her mom after a broken engagement proves to be more life changing than she’d anticipated when she runs into Finn. Finn who just happens to be the guide of the bus tour she and her mother are embarking on for the next week. This story looks at both the past and present to piece together Aisling and Finn’s love story. It’s sexy, sweet, romantic and had me wanting to book a trip to Ireland, purely to experience the culture and history.
As a history major, as well as someone who also lives with chronic pain, I adored how Aisling was written. It’s a small thing, but I never see history mentioned as a major for female main characters and this was really cool representation. Being in my final year of university and also dealing with chronic pain flare ups, I felt so incredibly seen.
Finn? Amazing. No notes (other than his fatal flaw which I won’t mention as to not spoil the story). I loved how both characters were written and I especially loved their messy love story.
For anyone who loves travel, culture and romance, this book is for you.
Now I need to go to Ireland.

This was a nice slow burn read. It was great to see Finn and Aisling reconnect. It took a bit to get to their HEA but it was worth the wait.

Thank you to J.L. Berg and Netgalley for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
This novel was such a feel-good read for me. I loved the relationship between Finn & Ash. The side characters like Ash’s mother and their friends were funny and enjoyable. The writing and plot made me feel all the emotions for the two MCs. It was a slow burn but once the spice got going, phew! I would definitely recommend this book and suddenly feel the urge to book a trip to Ireland...

A heartfelt and engaging romance set in Ireland
Twist of Fate by J.L. Berg is a warm, emotional travel romance that really struck a chord with me. I’m heading to Ireland next May, and reading this felt like a preview of the trip—walking through towns, taking in the sights, and sharing the journey with Aisling and Finn.
I really liked both main characters and appreciated how the story explored grief in a thoughtful, realistic way. Aisling’s experience with rheumatoid arthritis was also handled with care and honesty, which added depth to her character.
The romance itself was beautifully written—emotional, genuine, and with just the right amount of spice. I was completely rooting for Aisling and Finn and loved watching their connection grow.
Berg’s writing style made it easy to get into the story—it flows well and feels natural. I ended up reading the whole book in a day.
Many thanks to BooksGoSocial, Love N Books Press, and NetGalley for the early copy. All opinions are my own.

This book is absolutely joyful to listen to while doing chores. Ireland is one dream vacation and thanks to this book that is my first book by JL Berg it is like I’m in an ireland vacation through this book!
It is spicy book also and I am all for this story, characters and the banter is there.
Easily a 5 stars ⭐️ in my opinion

I loved loved loved it!
Finn and Aisling are the perfect example of how sometimes life gets in the way, but it doesn't mean that you love the other person any less.
What i loved about this second chance romance, was that these characters didn't have silly miscommunications that prevented them from being together - they were facing real concerns and didn't want to hurt the other person.
They talked things through, they gave each other the benefit of the doubt. They weren't perfect in every respect and that's how you know this relationship will make it.
I loved the element of bringing in that *person* as the villain - it felt very realistic and added drama without messing around with the main characters' personalities too much.
The descriptions of Ireland made me simultaneously feel like I was there and that I needed to book a trip immediately. Can't really get a much advert for Ireland than that.
Can we please have Rian's book next? (Pretty please?)
*Dual POV
*Chronic disease representation
*Destination romance

[Guys, seriously - go read this book]

Oh how I adored every minute of reading this book! The yearning had me in shambles the whole time /pos
I don’t usually enjoy second-chance romances, but the format and the characters really hooked me!
The transitions between the past and present chapters were so seamless—everything unfolded so naturally and believably. Genuinely such good pacing.
Finn and Aisling were so perfect to me. Their chemistry was very believable and they were both reasonably flawed without it being too over the top or dramatic. I was rooting for them from their first meeting.
I will definitely be rereading this one as it was so comforting and sweet <3 I must experience that first mo chroí again!

this book was amazing. i couldnt wait to read when i wasnt and didnt want to stop when i was. but then i wanted it to last forever! now this is the true sign of a good book.
the scene setting. the characters. like Ireland itself the sung from the pages in the best most lyrical ways.
the relationship between out two main characters had my heart hurting and healing.
i was almost thriller book style terrified simply because i couldnt bare for them not to be together. because dammmm they needed to be together. and boy did we all know it. so did they.
the dual timelines never took over of got confusing and instead gave me just the right amount of info.
Aisling was just a wonderful character. you want to be alongside her on her adventure but also want to give her a fair few big hugs.
a few years ago she had the romance significance. but it ended. it hurt, it ended. but after the death of her mother she goes back to that same Ireland and will be a tour guide to bring herself back some joy. but who should she meet. him, yes the him. and it turns out he isnt just there but is the Ceo of the company she is now working for. great. great. great.
there is so much to unpack though. both in their past and present. they shouldnt even take one step towards each other. but what if they dont have a choice. what if they find in each other exactly what they need, wanted all along. what if now they can make each others worlds better.
the landscapes were as beautiful as the growing love between the two and they both rippled off the pages to the reader. you are captivated by all parts of this book and as a whole it creates such a wonderful place to be in. whilst reading this book you truly are taking to a gorgeous place.
a wonderful book. full of love in all sorts of heartwarming ways.

I LOVE a destination romance.
Two years ago, Aisling and her Mom went on a mother/daughter bonding trip. Devastated over the breakup with her fiance, she agrees to go to Ireland to forget about the state of her life. She meets tour guide Finn, and they share a week full of flirting, romantic moments, and a showstopping kiss. But life must go on, and once she returns to the US, they lose touch. Now shes back in Ireland after her Mom dies, working for the tour company that they used. Except Finn is the acting CEO. And all those butterflies? Still there!
***Dual POV, Past and present timelines
***Second chance romance
***Destination romance
***Chronic disease representation
I really enjoyed this one. Being swept away to Ireland and all it’s beauty was a treat itself, and a fun, chemistry-filled romance sweetens the deal.
Definitely grab this one when it comes out next week!

Absolutely loved this! I’m a sucker for second chance romance and this did not disappoint. Loved the romance between Ash and Finn, the setting, the side characters, just everything. Except you, Theo…you’re the worst.
