I read this one with my kindergartener one night before bed. It was quite short and some of the jokes went over her head a bit but I think my 2nd grader would have loved them and understood easily. We did like the illustrations but wish it had been just a little bit longer with more jokes packed in.

I love a goofy book. I think there was room for improvement with regard to the rhymes in the book which is always a pet peeve of mine. That being said, I like a bit of whimsy in my books, as well as a resource for jokes that I’m sure my young children would get a giggle out of. Although some of the jokes, like the rhymes, could have used a bit of refinement. Like not sure why the answer to “what do elephants and trees have in common” is “big trunks” rather than just trunks. And also, is this even a joke? It’s just kind of a statement of fact. That being said there were cute jokes in here.
