Description
Twelve-year-old Alex has always felt different. While his brother Marcus could float effortlessly to the second story of their home, Alex remains stubbornly earthbound. His family promises he'll develop their "gifts" eventually, but Alex is starting to wonder if he really belongs.
When storm creatures attack his school and dark ships fill the sky, Alex's family reveals a secret that changes everything. Suddenly, he's thrust into a hidden war between worlds, discovering that his inability to float is the key to powers beyond imagination.
But the enemies hunting him want to use his unique abilities to create an army of super-soldiers. Now Alex must unlock the mystery of what he truly is, master abilities that shouldn't be possible, and prove that being different isn't a curse - it's a boon.
A thrilling adventure that explores what it means to belong when everything you thought you knew about yourself turns out to be wrong.

The Boy Who Couldn't Fly is a great adventure that blends science fiction, family bonds, and personal discovery in the best possible way. Alex’s journey from outsider to unexpected hero is filled with tense battles, intergalactic twists, and deeply emotional moments. What I loved most was how the story didn’t rush his transformation—it made room for doubt, courage, and real stakes. The writing felt cinematic, and by the end, I was both cheering and tearing up. A truly rewarding read for anyone who’s ever felt like they didn’t quite fit in.
The Boy Who Couldn't Fly absolutely soared—Alex might not float, but this story lifted me right off the couch with its heart, heroism, and high-stakes twists that prove being different might just save the world.
OMG—this book SLAPS 🚀💥! Alex might not have wings, but who needs ‘em when you’ve got a freakin’ space-force bubble blasting baddies across the room?! 😂 I was hooked from the first sky-creature attack and didn’t let go ‘til the galaxy was saved (ish). The banter, the powers, the weird sci-fi tech—I’m obsessed. This is the kinda book that makes you wish you had a long-lost superpower and a team of sarcastic rebels to take on evil with. Middle grade? Pssh, I’m an adult and I ate it up like popcorn. 🍿🌌

This was a fun quick read. Despite how short the story is, a lot of things happened, but it didn't feel choppy or rushed. Everything flowed well and despite a lot of scientific/alien talk, I think everything was written in a way that can easily be understood by younger readers. I think this is a great story to ignite interest in the sci-fi genre for younger readers without being overly complicated and confusing (like some adult sci-fi tends to be)
