This book was amazing right from the first page! The characters are all so well written that you feel like you really know them
The FMC Jade goes through so much growing up and then when she is sent away. She is an incredibly strong woman to go through everything she did and come out in the end even better.
The absolute man the MMC Jensen is...whew. He knew what he wanted and went after it. He stood up and treated Jade like the amazing woman she is when no one else would! Also let's just say he knows EXACTLY how to use a mechanical bull.
The side characters - Rae and Bodee (Jensen's brother) added so much to the story. You grow to love them just as much as Jensen and Jade from the very beginning!
This was an amazing read, and to be a debut novel - it was phenomenal! The author really put her heart and soul into this.
You can tell just by how well the story is laid out and written!

A.D. Baker absolutely nailed it for her debut novel! From the very first chapter I was hooked. Her writing style gives the perfect flow, intrigue and descriptive details to provide you with an immersive reading experience. One of the best parts of her writing was the character development, watching Jade grow throughout this book and overcoming childhood traumas, a twisted father and a checked-out mother all while battling an arranged marriage she didn't agree to, was a story line that will have you thinking about this book all hours of the day. Every time I had to put my kindle down, I couldn't wait for the next chance to read. Then there's Jensen... Saint Jensen, our sexy bartending, crepes cooking, protect her at all costs Jensen. There are not enough words in the English language to describe this man and without reading, you'll never understand. Jensen alone is enough to read this book, trust me, you're going to love him! Rae and Bodee, our badass supporting characters, loyal to the ends of the earth, add the humor and sarcasm that everyone loves to see!

Overall, if you enjoy romance, the perfect amount of spice, a touch of murder and suspense then Saint Jensen is sitting here waiting to be your next read and you DON'T want to miss out!

This is another debut and I’m so excited for the release. One of my favorite tropes is always going to be small town romances. We meet our FMC, Jade, as she’s moving to Texas to love bear her fiancé, Vaughn. She’s in an arranged engagement as she’s her father only child and he needs to marry her off in order for him to build connections. Seeing how her father had treated her mother, this engagement isn’t something she wants to do. She decides to have one last night of freedom before entering her marriage. She goes to a bar where she (and us) meet the MMC, Jensen. He’s the bar owner who is instantly curious about her. He’s already met Vaughn (who has no problem parading his mistress, Whitney) and can’t believe Jade is with him. Jade, decided she’s going to be have a wild night with Jensen, had a night with memories that will sustain her in her loveless marriage. We also have Bodee and Rae, our side characters (and maybe we’ll learn more about them in book 2👀). Bodee is Jensen brother who can’t seem to catch a break and Rae, the bartender who escaped her own marriage. The book takes a turn as we start getting criminal and I don’t know about anyone else but I DID NOT SEE THE PLOT TWIST and was left shook. This book had it all: romance, crime, secrets and HEA.
