Description

This charming Christmas story for children ages 3-7 explores the magic, wonder, and sense of community that are especially present during the holiday season.

When the young narrator announces that Santa Claus has moved in next door, Mom, Dad, and big sister Liv are less than convinced. But it doesn't matter; the narrator is convinced. And the more she gets to know her new neighbor, the more certain she is that he is indeed Santa Claus (but she can't figure out where his reindeer are).

It soon turns out that Santa Claus is very skilled at fixing things, and through his handyman kindness, he quickly becomes a good friend and neighbor to all who live on the street. So when he gets sick, the young narrator is quick to round up everyone in the community, who are all more than happy to help. But will Santa Claus be well in time for Christmas Eve?

🎅✨ Review: The Street Where Santa Lives ✨🎅

When a young girl insists that Santa Claus has moved in next door, her family isn’t quite convinced — but she’s certain of it! As the story unfolds, her belief only grows stronger as her jolly, bearded neighbor spends his days helping everyone on the block with kindness and care. From fixing things to lending a hand, “Santa” quickly becomes a friend to all. But when he falls ill right before Christmas, the neighborhood rallies together to return the favor — showing that even Santa needs a little help sometimes.

This is a wonderful story about community, compassion, and the spirit of giving. It beautifully captures how small acts of kindness can bring people together, especially during the holiday season.

A clever Christmas picture book with a fresh take on friendship and helping others, it’s both heartwarming and full of charm. The illustrations are delightfully whimsical, with thoughtful details that make the pages shine — parents wearing a baby sling, neighbors of all kinds (including differently abled characters), and cozy, festive scenes that radiate warmth and inclusion.

Perfect for reading aloud during the holidays, The Street Where Santa Lives reminds us that the true magic of Christmas lies in caring for one another. 🎄❤️

I received an electronic ARC from Publisher Spotlight | Tiger Tales through NetGalley.
A sweet holiday story that can be read all year long. The young girl who narrates notices an older man move in on their street. He has a red coat, white beard, and rotund figure. She knows he is Santa and shares this with her family. They encourage her to give him privacy and try to convince her he is a regular human. Then, he begins fixing items in his workshop and she gets to be his "elf." I appreciate the tender writing style and how the author shares more about her characters as the story progresses. When Santa becomes ill, this child rallies the neighbors to care for him. Howe's message to support each other and look for the magic of love and caring comes through clearly by the final page spread.

This book is so sweet and humorous. The pictures are cute and the conversation is humorous. This would be a fantastic book to read with kids while asking them what they think is happening.

I LOVE Santa. You might think I'm too old, but I'm definitely not. Santa is MY DUDE. I absolutely love this story about him and a community that takes care of its own. I will buy this for the library, and probably for my granddaughter, and my personal collection as well.

This one is super cute and perfect for Christmas time! I'm not going to lie, I was really hoping for it to be revealed that it was Santa but I was okay with how the story went anyway. the illustrations help tell the story wonderfully. I think I'll be adding this one to my holiday books for my kids!

The Street Where Santa Lives is a sweet story about a girl who thinks her new neighbor is Santa. The neighbor, who may resemble Santa, is kind, never too busy for anyone, great at fixing things, and a good neighbor. The girl is confused why his favorite time of year is not winter. She also questions where his reindeer are.

A book with beautiful illustrations that perfectly captures the magic of Christmas.

A cute story about a young girl who thinks her next door neighbor is Santa Claus. This story is very cute, and I think any kid would enjoy it. The ending did feel a little like it was missing something to me, but I still enjoyed it anyway and would recommend. The illustrations were cute as well.
