This was a genuinely helpful and grounding read. I especially appreciated the frameworks, which are clear, practical, and easy to apply in real business and leadership settings. The book does a good job naming things we often feel but struggle to articulate, like how confirmation bias quietly shapes our decisions and relationships, often without us realizing it. I found myself pausing to reflect more than once, which I always take as a good sign. That said, a few topics felt like they deserved a deeper dive, trust in particular. It was insightful but ended just when I wanted more nuance and data. Overall, though, this is a highly informational and very digestible book, one that works well as both an introduction and a reference you can return to when you need clarity.
Thank you Netgalley and BenBella Books for the ARC!
While I anticipated this book being more communication based, I was hoping for a bit more relevance to the history of a secret service agent, and I feel like it struck a good balance. While I have always been interested in the memoirs of former secret agents and secret service members, this was a unique twist on using what is learned from that kind of job in a completely new way! Whether you're interested in Beeler's history (in a very light way) or wanting to learn how to communicate better, Tell Me Everything is a great book!
This was a really easy, interesting read that actually gave me useful tools I could apply right away. The stories from his time in the Secret Service make the book engaging without feeling heavy or complicated.
I liked how practical it is and it isn’t just for intense or high pressure situations. The tips work for everyday conversations, whether you’re talking to coworkers, family, or friends. It makes you more aware of things like body language, timing, and how to build trust without forcing it.
Overall, it’s straightforward, relatable, and genuinely helpful if you want to communicate better and understand people a little more.
