Description

It's another Executioner Knight’s tale featuring the younger prince of Kitara – and he’s about to blow Medieval England wide open!

Forced marriages, secrets, sins, and scoundrels run rampant in this blockbuster Medieval tale!

Essien al-Kort was not born in England. Having been exiled from his homeland far to the east, he has experienced more suffering in his lifetime in most. But the crusading knights were good to him and he grew up in a Christian world, eventually finding his way to England. As a fully-fledged knight under Ajax de Velt and Christopher de Lohr, Essien is an elite warrior among warriors. He’s also a highly skilled tournament competitor, like his older brother, and these days, he’s making a fortune as the tournament knight known as the God of Vengeance.

But his fortune will only take him so far.

Enter Catalina de Barenton.

Catalina’s father is an ally and neighbor of Christopher de Lohr (Rise of the Defender). The man has expressed his desire to Christopher that his widowed daughter should remarry and believes the fact that she has two young children will work against her. However, she's an heiress, and Christopher sees Essien as a candidate, not only in marriage, but as an ally when he inherits the de Barenton properties through marriage.

The only problem is that Catalina has no desire to remarry… not even after she meets Essien. And her husband, who is presumed dead, may not be dead, after all.

The mystery deepens.

Join Essien and Catalina in a unique and powerful love story as they navigate the complexities of a forced marriage that eventually becomes their lifeline. From the rocky start to the breathtaking conclusion, God of Vengeance is a story for the ages.

This was another great book. Essien and his brother Addax have come into their own. Things take a turn he wasn't expecting. I loved Catalina and her daughters. Get ready for a long tale about lost families and new beginnings. HEA.

This was a strong fifteenth entry in the Executioner Knights series, it had that element that I was looking for from the previous entries and was engaged with the historical romance in the book. It uses the Medieval element perfectly and was hooked from the first page and cared about what was happening with the characters. Kathryn Le Veque has a strong writing style and thought the overall journey was perfectly done and glad I read this.

Immersion in the medieval world with so many characters and storylines.
Essien is a prince of a kingdom that no longer exists but he was rescued as a young child.
He grew up in England among many fine men and has grown to be a great knight himself.
When a marriage is arranged for him, he acquieses as he realizes it is time to carry on his heritage.
He is betrothed to a widow Catalina who has two small daughters.
There is romance with obstacles and revelations.
The best part is seeing how all the characters develop over time as each story adds another aspect to their lives.
Can be read as a standalone but just entices you to read every other story.
The author lists the characters and the book where their main stories can be found which is a nice tool for new readers.

A Wonderful Medieval Romance Not to Miss
This author writes another unbelievably intense and terrifying love story that captured my heart.
The beginning was so heartfelt and took us into the making of another fabulous character of the Executioner Knights.
Essien and Catalina take us into their emotionally charge journey of discovering love
I truly enjoyed this wonderful story and would highly recommend the entire series.

To say this story is full of action would be doing it a disservice. Everything and everyone in this story is in constant motion. Just when I think I have everything figured out something or someone is introduced and then more
questions arise. I loved the two main characters, Catalina and Essien and a lot of the secondary characters have appeared in previous stories. It’s great to see how this and other stories intertwine with each other, Throughout the story secrets come to light and the biggest surprise came at the end. To say I loved this story would be an understatement.
