Description

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Karen Kingsbury comes the third novel in an unforgettable series about divine intervention and the trials and triumphs of life for a group of friends.

Despite needing a heart transplant and against the advice of her doctor, Mary Catherine moves to Uganda to work at a new orphanage. Whatever time she has left, Mary Catherine wants to spend it helping children—especially since there will be no children of her own. The only problem is Major League Baseball player Marcus Dillinger, the man she never meant to fall in love with. Neither Marcus nor Mary Catherine’s other friends—Tyler Ames and Sami Dawson—know just how serious her heart condition is.

Still, Marcus is sure in the depths of his soul that something isn’t right. Ultimately his correspondence with Mary Catherine leads him on a desperate life-or-death mission to rescue her and get her to a US hospital before time runs out. Meanwhile, Sami and Tyler struggle with issues of their own. In a season when Tyler plans to ask Sami to marry him, the very core of their relationship is in jeopardy.

The team of angels walking is busier than ever in this epic battle between life and death. Brush of Wings is a poignant tale of love, sacrifice, and the power of faith.

The culmination of the Angels Walking series. I'm sorry it has to end. Karen Kingsbury did an excellent job throughout the series and in this concluding book. She uses very real life situations, hardships and triumphs and wraps them in scripture. Yes this is fiction, but God is all powerful and he can do the very things she has in this book. Just because the genre is Christian fiction does not mean our God is. He is capable to do exceedingly more than we can ever think and imagine. Do angels behave the way she portrays? Why not? They do the bidding of our Father. I have heard of wonderius things happening to people in emergency rooms, on the roads etc. that can only be explained by the presence of God and angelic beings. Look at this series as a way to explore your life in the past, present and future and keep an eye out for his works on your behalf and those of others. Work your way through the Reading Group Guide at the end of her books. It's worth your time. Keep that ink flowing Karen and keep listening to the voice of God. Blessings on you and yours!

Karen definitely saved the best for last. The entire series is powerful, but Brush of Wings really tugs at your heart. Make sure you have an ample supply of tissue and a huge block of time before you crack the cover!

I fell in love with the characters, and the entire story was engaging and moved along smoothly. However, my greatest take away comes from Karen's heavenly cast. Too often we move through life, believing but oblivious to the work of God on our behalf.

And that is such a shame. Because becoming aware of the spiritual world makes the physical richer, and gives life a depth of meaning that cannot be found outside the Father. Just as Frank Peretti opened our eyes to the spiritual realm, the Angels Walking shows us a better way to look at life.

I'm sad to see the series end. If enough of us read and review and discuss these stories, maybe God will motivate Karen to craft another series about the heavenly host.
For now, enjoy Angels Walking. And tell a friend!

ANGELS WALKING Series makes me think of who are the angels around me. Ember, Beck, Jag, and Aspyn are angels on earth helping Mary Catherine and Marcus, Sami and Tyler. Divine Intervention for the trials and triumphs of life. Prayer is the powerful thing we humans can do. This is the perfect book to wrap up the series, I only wish it was not the last one. I want more of Angels Walking!!

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the end to this series. She brought all of the stories together and will give readers a sigh to know that the end was worth the wait. I can't wait to get it into the hands of patrons who are dying to know the end.
