Description
What if a dream is more than a memory?
He’s an arrogant, stubborn, immovable object blocking crime reporter Kat Coe from the story she’s determined to tell—about the savage slaying of a wealthy Texas heiress.
“There’d be no news if all reporters did was swallow your crap. The people have the right to know.”
Detective T. J. Callahan is one to drool over. But his sole focus is finding the killers, and Kat’s news stories are getting in his way.
He stops and turns to face me with a fry-in-hell glare. “The people also have the right to a properly conducted police investigation. You just blew the hell out of any chance of that.”
They both have an even bigger problem.
From the moment their eyes meet, there’s a connection. As their conflicts escalate and the investigation deepens, so does their bond—tangled in dreams Kat can’t explain. She starts to question everything: her instincts, her memories, and the man who feels like home.
You. Again. explores the fragility of the presumption of innocence, the ethics of journalism, and most importantly, the possibility that some connections transcend time.

Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Dale, and the publishing team for the incredible opportunity to read this title in advance of its release. I am truly grateful. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
And she does it again folks!!
Harper Dale just keeps giving us these golden stories with such real life depth and I am here for it.
You.Again. is the perfect combination of nostalgia, soul-bending love, and tragic redemption. The author does an amazing job at giving us a realistic glimpse into the hearts and minds of journalists, balancing authenticity with an imaginative storyline. You can really feel the depth of knowledge in this area that Harper Dale has and her expertise really shines through.
She expertly wove the nostalgia of a story set in the 1980’s with current day reflection. I loved the musical references of the time period and it was such a fun element that really added to the overall story.
I flew this book in less than 24 hours and ate up every single page!
T.J. and Kat’s love story is truly remarkable and so original!
If you are looking for a heart warming story that takes you through the highs and lows of law enforcement, journalism, and swoon-worthy love, you are going to love this book!
I hope Mrs. Dale has more in store for us soon, because after two books of hers, I’m hooked!!
It was a little hard for me to get into the story. It wasn’t a classic start with a little introduction to each character but right in the middle of the action. That took some adjusting for me. The synopsis got my attention, but also made me expect a dual POV a little. Besides that, I expected an instant connection between Kat and Callahan that would be inexplicable. That wasn’t really the case. Around 30% in the book, I was really hooked on the story. It was so nerve wracking. Around 75% I lost that a little bit. The story kind of went a different direction all of the sudden and I that put me a little out of my reading pace. I was hoping that the dreams and their connection would be more in the centre of the plot. Still, I enjoyed it and I still think the original idea was really cool and interesting. That’s why I gave 3 stars!
I absolutely fell into “You. Again.” This book gave me mystery, romance, nostalgia, emotional damage, and tension all wrapped into one addictive story.
T.J. Callahan and Katherine Coe had me completely invested from the moment they started working together on the murder investigation. Their chemistry felt intense and emotional without being overdone, and I loved watching their connection slowly unfold.
The pacing is super fast and throws you straight into the action, which honestly caught me off guard at first, but once I got into it, I could not stop reading. The suspense, the emotions, the twists… it had me stressed..but like in a good way!
I also loved the 1980s atmosphere and all the music references woven throughout the story. While I wish the dream connection between Kat and Callahan had stayed a bigger focus later in the book, I still really loved the overall story. Definitely a 5 star read for me.
Haper Dale’s story You Again builds one and destroys one. Featuring T.J. Callahan and Katherine Coe, their love story goes beyond death. They first cross paths as workers figuring out a murder. Callahan as the detective and Coe as the cop reporter. An attraction building, careers on the line, and an unsolved murder are totally worth exploring.
With an unexpected plot, readers are hooked from the start to end. What stood out was how the characters related and solved their misunderstandings. No extra fluff that inconveniently makes the story longer than it needs to be. The narrative is fast-paced with themes of love and forgiveness.
I highly recommend this book to romance lovers.
