Equip your middle schooler to grow a more confident faith and to reflect God's love in every action and reaction.
In 100 devotions, Crystal Stine dives into what the Bible has to say about the many things your preteens might encounter in middle school—things like conflict, worry, and anger; gossip, friendship, and popularity; loneliness, confidence, and success.
Each reading includes
an encouraging bible verse,
an illustration or personal story on a relatable topic,
and a fun activity or challenge to help tweens live out what they’ve learned.
Middle school can be an incredible time of exciting opportunities, growing friendships, and new experiences. But it can also be full of decisions, doubts, and drama. In other words, middle school is hard. The good news? We have an incredibly awesome God who loves your children and wants to help them in all seasons of life!

A daily encouraging devotional for youth. It comes equipped with a Bible verse, short encouraging story/anecdote that gives pre-teens some daily relevance. Some days end with a thoughtful question or to-do for readers to reflect or react to the message.
I enjoyed the topics and were relevant to our family. The days were accessible to a variance of ages and cover a variety of topics. I also liked that it seemed to advance with topics as the days go, it built a foundation of getting into a devotional habit and then built on doing more and processing more in your faith walk.
I do wish it had a prayer with each day. Helping establish a prayer foundation at a young age is helpful and vital to a faith walk.

This is a totally uplifting and terrific message for middle schoolers. I absolutely loved the way Crystal approached the target audience with heer message and how well she wrote. I read a couple of these to my middle schooler and he found them to be insightful and interesting. I will be buying one for him and a couple for my other grandchildren as they approach that age.

Thanks to Netgalley and Our Daily Bread Publisjing for an ARC of this book. I work with middle schoolers on a daily basis, so was very excited to read this book. I was hoping this book would be something I could recommend to the middle schoolers in my life. I am very thankful that the Gospel is presented in the beginning of the book and seems like they are encouraged to read the book even if they don't understand. This book is written for Christian middle schoolers, though, and I think any non-Christians would have a hard time reading, understanding, and applying this book. I may recommend this to the middle schoolers I know are Christians, but it will be a case by case. There also is not a lot of Scrupture in each devotion that points kids back to Christ.
