Description
How do you explain loss to a child?
Tokens from Heaven offers a tender and imaginative way to talk about grief while reassuring children that love never truly disappears.
Set in the golden landscapes of the Australian Outback, this heartwarming story shares the comforting idea that when someone we love goes to heaven, they receive special “tokens.” These tokens can be used to send little signs of love back to Earth – a ray of sunshine, a gentle breeze, or a moment of safety just when it’s needed most.
Through touching storytelling and beautiful illustrations, children will begin to see that even though we cannot always see or hear our loved ones, their care remains with us in both big and small ways every day.
Perfect for:
* Parents and carers supporting a child through the loss of a loved one
* Teachers, counsellors, and therapists looking for a gentle resource to discuss grief
* Families wishing to celebrate the lasting bonds of love that continue after loss
Tokens from Heaven is more than a storybook – it is a source of comfort and connection, helping children and families find hope in the knowledge that love never truly leaves us.

This book is amazing. I would highly recommend to anyone with a child going through a hard time with grief--especially those struggling with the loss of a parent. It sums everything up in a way that a child can understand such as how when our loved ones pass they still watch over us from above. It also lets them know that they are not alone and that their loved ones are in the world around them always, in both big and little ways.
