I loved this story and the reason behind Marc Levy writing it, banned books. Let's be honest, this is an anathema to any book lover!

The story tells of a bookseller, Mitch, who, enraged by the ban on selling classic literature, decides to lend banned books instead and ends up arrested and imprisoned for 5 years. After being released, he returns to his bookshop wanting nothing more than a quiet life. However, he can't forgive the man who put him away, and when he meets Anna, he is torn between revenge and love.

I loved the characters in this story; they are well written, and I easily connected with them and their plights. I loved Mitch's quiet determination and Anna's strength of character. The whole story is beautifully written and sucks you into their world easily.

This is a wonderful book, full of passion, revenge, and love. I loved reading it and applaud the stand Marc Levy is taking about the banning of books in the US today. A must-read for all book lovers.
