Description
For fans of Olivia Atwater and T. Kingfisher: a cozy fantasy romance with stakes, yearning, banter, fairytale charm, and no spice.
He’s the witty fae lord escorting her to marry someone else (unfortunately, he’s already fallen for her).
She’s the human princess (with very little filter) choosing to pursue an arranged marriage.
Some truths were never meant to be buried—even the stars don’t believe the story she tells herself.
I was raised to marry a prince.
Instead, I was taken by the fae during the war.
All the years of tutoring and preparing…
and now I live in a cramped room in my half-sister’s castle.
The fae love to stare.
Having human ears doesn’t help me blend in.
Neither does the sword I carry, and haphazardly wield.
It won’t matter for much longer.
The prince of Estlen has invited me to his kingdom to explore a marriage pact.
I said yes.
Now I’m being escorted by Fyn, the fae Lord Chancellor.
Provoking me is his favorite pastime.
The things he says could drive any woman mad.
But two can play that game.
A romantasy with banter and fairytale vibes:
- one bed (and no one is happy about it)
- he’s already fallen & yearns
- the wrong nicknames on purpose
✨ DUAL POV ✨
Advance Praise
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I loved it all: the banter, the yearning, the magic, I could not put this book down! I laughed out loud, I gasped, I cried & I swooned. I wanted to savor it slowly but it was so good I had to read the whole thing in one sitting. & now I’m already yearning for book 2! - Goodreads Reviewer
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another example of a book not needing 9000 tropes and smut to make it a 5+ ⭐️ read. Ashlyn and Fyn had the BEST banter. Their dynamic was so fun and I loved the nicknames he gave to her in the fae realm. The way they danced around each other had me laughing but also like OMG yall get together. - Goodreads Reviewer
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The perfect read for a quiet day, maybe cuddled up with your favorite reading buddy, whomever that may be. Can definitely see this series becoming one of my comfort reads! - Goodreads Reviewer

Do you love banter, a witty fae lord, and a human princess who speaks her mind? If so, this book is for you! I loved this book, it was incredibly fast paced and a fun read! Stolen Radiance is about a human princess Ashlyn who is stolen from the human lands by her sister, and brought to the Fae lands (Nythrel). Fyn is the witty fae lord who has fallen hard for Ashlyn, and he is in charge of the Fae lands trades. Ashlyn has known her entire life she would be used as a trade in marriage. Ashlyn gets invited to go to Estlen as a marriage proposal, she still has an option to say no. Ashlyn has yearned to go back to the human lands as she didn't chose to go to the Fae lands. Fyn is to accompany Ashlyn to Estlen per the King and Queen of Nythrel. Along the journey there may or may not be a one bed trope. Once in Estlen Ashlyn starts to realize something doesn't add up, and starts to question the validity of this trip and if something else is happening behind the scenes.
I really liked the plot and the cliff hanger we were left on. I'm already foaming for book 2 and can't wait to go back to Nythrel.
When I say I DEVOURED this!!! It was absolutely amazing and I had so much fun reading it!
Brit Bryndell has taken some romantasy staples, mixed them up REALLY well and has cooked up this precious gem. We have clever premise, interesting worldbuilding which is at the same time easily digestible and not overwhelming, wonderful characters who feel real and instantly make us emotionally invested, tight, fast paced action and high stakes, banter for days, one bed at the inn (whoop!), a ball, court politics, plot twists to keep even the most seasoned ones amongst us satisfied and all in just over 300 pages! *APPLAUSE*
If not for anything else, pick this up to meet FYN. He is everything I want in a MMC and he stole my heart from the first minute he made an appearance on the page. Having his POV was absolutely integral to how the story develops and the yearning was top tier, no notes. The back and forth between them was masterful and had me kicking my feet. I realised at some point that I always has the biggest smile when reading their interactions, they are so cute together, this borders on wholesome and cosy!
I enjoyed every single minute of this and I genuinely can't wait for the second instalment. For me this runs in the veins of The Rose Bargain and Thorn Season, which I also highly recommend. Thank you to Brit Bryndell, Victory Editing and NetGalley for my review copy, all opinions are my own.
Stolen Radiance ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was my first book by Brit Bryndell and it definitely won’t be my last. I flew through this romantasy and completely loved the mix of fae politics, forced proximity and sharp banter. This was a gem and just really enjoyable.
Fyn absolutely stole the show for me!! His constant teasing, yearning and chemistry with the FMC made every interaction entertaining, and the tension between them was addictive. The “escort her to marry someone else while secretly falling for her” worked incredibly well for me.
The world had strong fairytale vibes annd just enough intrigue and emotional tension to keep me fully invested throughout. Add in one bed, witty dialogue and a heroine with absolutely no filter, and this became such a fun and bingeable read.
A fantastic first read from Brit Bryndell and I’m already looking forward to reading more.📚✨
