Description

A refined lady. A savage knight. A marriage neither wants... and cannot escape.

What happens when the most polished lady in England is forced to wed the most notorious warrior on the Scottish border?

Utter chaos!

Gareth “Gar” de Wolfe—son of Troy de Wolfe of DarkWolfe—is a knight forged in blood and steel. A king’s champion and border legend, Gar kills with his bare hands, sleeps beside his hounds, eats with his soldiers, and answers to no one but his sovereign. Half-Scot, half-English, and wholly dangerous, he is revered in battle and feared in peace. Polished manners? Not required. Courtly charm? Never learned.

He is a weapon.

Lady Matilda “Mattie” de Reyne is the very definition of refinement. Fluent in languages, gifted in poetry and art, raised among cultured nobility, she is grace incarnate. Long ago, her father arranged her marriage to the heir of House de Wolfe to bind two powerful families.

But the boy she met once in childhood is not the man who arrives for their wedding.

He is brutal. Untamed. Uncivilized.

And she refuses to marry him.

Gar, however, does not retreat from duty. A betrothal is an oath. A command is an order. And no one—especially not a delicate lady and impossible standards—is going to defy him.

What neither of them expects is the fire that erupts between fury and fascination.

Beneath Gar’s savage exterior beats a fiercely loyal, fiercely guarded heart. Beneath Mattie’s polished composure lies a woman stronger than any blade. As border wars rage and political tensions threaten their families, husband and wife must decide:

Will they remain enemies bound by obligation… or become allies bound by passion?

From the brutal battlefields of the Scottish Marches to the shifting power plays of England’s court, WolfeBlood delivers heat, humor, and heart in an epic medieval romance where a refined lady tames a warrior—and a savage knight discovers the only battle he truly fears is surrendering to love.

Every time I read one of these stories I am amazed at how many people there are and that they are related either by blood or marriage. The storyline is well throughout and presented in such fashion that I did not want it to end. The wedding that almost did not happen turned out to be a great love for Mattie and Gar. Along with their new found love there is danger that is escalating. It was great to have William and Jordan appear in this story and play a major role. I thought the meeting between William and Kieran was a very emotional addition. I loved the story and highly recommend it as a great read.
