This was a beautiful and powerful read that really made me reflect. I loved the honesty and vulnerability throughout the book and the reminder that we don’t have to hide the difficult parts of ourselves. The message of embracing change, surrender, and personal growth really resonated with me.

This book gave me a lot to think about, and I found myself returning to certain passages because they felt meaningful and uplifting. A truly impactful read that I know I’ll carry with me.

A much needed book right now. Life is HARD, and I think so many of us have gotten so used to just saying "I'm fine" while pushing through, and trying to be strong all the time. This book is a reminder that surrendering isn't giving up, but it can actually be one of the strongest things you ever do.

This one really hit home for me because I went through my own journey of finally breaking after trying to be strong for so long. Asking for help, accepting help, and realizing I couldn't do everything on my own ended up being one of the best things I've ever done. I don't see that as weakness anymore, but I see it as strength. We all need support sometimes, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. We truly can't pour from an empty cup. We have to take care of ourselves before we can take care of everyone else. I also loved the idea that the hardest seasons of our lives aren't meant to break us, but they're shaping us into stronger, more resilient versions of ourselves.

I loved how the author blends her own story with different goddess archetypes and themes of grief, loss, healing, rage, and self-discovery in a way that encourages us to embrace every part of ourselves and not just the polished, "I'm fine" version. I think this is a book that will resonate with a lot of people, especially with everything happening in the world right now.

Multiple times while I was reading this, I had to close my kindle, stand up and walk around; this book hit me just like the proverbial ton of bricks. Wow. After a year that has been to hell and back, this book could not have come at a more perfect time for this particular reader (blessings to Ms Thomashauer❤️) and this book resonated with me in ways I didn’t know was possible.

I will be making a point to read every other book that Mama Gena has written and I recommend this to every woman out there. Especially the ones who’ve had dark long nights, and pain that felt deeper than the Mariana Trench. This book is amazing; this is one that is going on my personal top books of the year, I’m buying the audiobook, I want my daughters to read this, and yours too, and I’ll be recommending this one for the rest of my life.
