"That's right," he murmured…"I am yours. And you are mine."

Will she be claimed by the demon prince?

Demon prince Kael has always been the spare: the second-born son, the prince without a job, the jokester of the family. His role is to support his eldest brother, Rath, in his quest to reclaim the demon throne. But Kael wants something for himself.

Beautiful Elle has always been second best: she has trained as a ballet dancer all her life but never made it to prima. And with dance as her focus, Elle has never made time to build a life outside her work.

But when Kael enters her dreams with a wicked smile, Elle feels passion and excitement like never before. Will her desire for the demon prince lead her to the underworld forever, or will Elle forsake her chance at romance for her love of ballet?

Dare I say I liked The Demon's Claim more than The Demon's Kiss? The Demon's Claim really entranced me and I fell hard for the love story between Kael and Elle.

The romance here is fantastic. I adored Kael and Elle as a couple. I liked their connection and the bond they formed during the dreams. The fated mates trope worked really well and I thought it added a lot to their undeniable connection. Plus the spicy scenes were really steamy! Passionate for sure! The romance had moments of swoon and fanning yourself haha.

I also liked the conflicts/plot more. Both Kael and Elle are the family outcasts and I liked that they had that in common. It made it easier to understand how strong their bond was as well as their motivations. Elle's conflict feels genuine and she truly has to decide what to take a chance on. I thought this made her realistic and relatable as a heroine. Kael wants something for himself (outside of his family) and Elle is it. But is he willing to do anything to get/keep her? I liked both of their individual arcs and felt the resolutions were satisfactory.

Cannot wait for book three. I think we all know who's next and I'm so excited! Would recommend The Demon's Claim for sure!

Scarlett Ash delivers an intoxicating, dark fantasy romance in The Demon’s Claim. Even though I haven't read book one yet, I was able to jump right into the story!

This book delivered everything I wanted in a delicious fated mates tension, spicy reads, and a romance that felt genuinely earned despite the dark setting. An addictive read for anyone who loves a possessive demon prince!

Ooohf! The spice level didn’t disappoint!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.
I hadn't read book one, but I jumped right into this and still found it easy to follow. Kael and Elle's fated mates dynamic really worked for me, their bond building through shared dreams gave the connection real intimacy before things heated up, and the spice level genuinely delivered. What I appreciated most was the emotional core underneath the steam. Both Kael and Elle are family outcasts in their own ways, and that shared sense of being second best made their bond feel earned rather than just physical attraction. Elle's conflict between her dance career and this new pull toward Kael felt genuine, and I liked that her arc gave her real agency in the decision. Kael wanting something for himself outside his family's expectations added nice depth to his character too. The romance had real swoon factor alongside the heat. I'm already looking forward to book three, since it's pretty clear who's getting their story next.

4.25⭐️ but happily rounding up

I enjoyed this! It was mostly centered around the relationship and their individual insecurities, which felt so raw and real. Both the MMC and FMC felt lesser than in their own ways, having to wear a mask to fake everything was alright. I loved seeing the FMC in particular overcome her insecurities.

I didn’t like how the MMC shut down when something big came up. He just shut out the FMC completely, but thankfully it wasn't for long. I understand the reasoning but wish he would have included the FMC instead of literally going silent and not talking to her at all.

The pacing was perhaps on the slower side but not terribly so. The writing style was descriptive without being over the top.

Even though it’s the second book, it makes sense without having read the first book. I probably won’t go back to read the first, but I’m excited to read the third because of the MMC for that one who was introduced here.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for this ARC! All opinions are my own.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this arc.

The Demon’s Claim is an entertaining paranormal romance that combines fantasy, destiny, and emotional self-discovery. The story follows Elle, a dedicated ballet dancer who has spent her life striving for success, and Kael, a demon prince tired of living in his brother’s shadow. Their shared feelings of being overlooked create an emotional connection that makes their relationship compelling from the start.
Kael is a charismatic and surprisingly relatable hero, balancing humor and vulnerability beneath his royal status. Elle’s struggle between pursuing her lifelong dream and embracing an unexpected future adds depth to the romance. The dream encounters, supernatural elements, and underworld setting create an intriguing backdrop that keeps the story moving at a steady pace.
While some familiar paranormal romance tropes appear throughout the novel, the strong chemistry between the leads and the engaging fantasy world make it an enjoyable read. The Demon’s Claim is a fun and romantic escape for readers who enjoy fated-mates stories, magical realms, and heroines finding the courage to follow their hearts.

Elle is trapped in a lifeless and perfection-driven world. She traded her happiness for chasing approval long ago. At her lowest, she begins to consider whether perfection really is worth the price. Kael draws her into a life so unlike the one she was resigned to accept, and Elle begins to realize it's not easy to resist him and she's definitely not immune to his affection. Kael finds peace in a bond he'd never wanted or anticipated. Surprises within his own life seek to destroy the life he wants to build with Elle. The emotions are simple but deeply felt. Together, Kael and Elle wish to be seen, loved, and accepted exactly as they are.

It's really beautiful how Scarlett draws readers into her stories and immediately connects them to the emotions and inner workings of her characters. The Demon's Claim centers on an initially reluctant fated-mates bond, found family, political secrets and surprises, and a race to find a way out of a bond Elle isn't initially ready to accept. This story builds on the world introduced in Scarlett Ash's first book, The Demon's Kiss. I love the premise that Kael visits Elle in her dreams. And as she steps into his world it is interesting to see just how different Kael's world is from the human world. And how that re-framed Elle's perception of perfection, desire, and every other thing she thought she'd failed to be. They even begin to realize that while neither may have naturally chosen the other for themselves, they achieved being exactly what the other person needed. Fate sees our needs differently than we do - the answers to our desires then, are rarely what we'd expect but always what we need most.

I loved stepping into Elle's dreams and drifting through a portal back into Pandemonium with Kael and Elle. The Demon's Claim was perfectly sweet and spicy and was such a joy to read. This book will resonate with romantic fantasy and paranormal romance lovers alike. I look forward to continuing the series and can't wait to meet our next demon dreamboat! Thank you to Scarlett Ash, Avon UK, and NetGalley for early access to read and review!

Having read The Demon's Kiss I was excited to read book 2, The Demon's Claim and it did not disappoint. This book follows the Demon prince Kael who we already know from book 1. The playboy brother to the Demon king. Kael finds his human mate Elle but her dream is to be a prima ballerina in the human world and so needs convincing to stay in the Demon realm.

The themes are very much the same as Book 1 and it's obvious how the story will end but that doesn't matter. Its a really fun, spicy, vibes read with likeable characters.

Looking forward to book 3

The Demon's Claim follows Elle and Kael who have found each other in their dreams. Elle is a ballerina and striving to become prima. Kael has to watch his brother become king and live happily with his mate. When Elle kisses Kael in her dream. she is transported to the underworld, where she is adamant that she needs to return to the human world. However, as time passes she realises that her life is with Kael and that she can still be a ballerina in the underworld. As much as she tries to deny the truth, she comes to discover that the underworld is where she belongs. This was a wonderful story and I really enjoyed the plot and the characters.

Scarlett Ash continues to deliver an intoxicating, dark fantasy romance that leaves you wanting more. After reading the demons kiss I thought she could do no better.. I was wrong! She blew this one out the park.

This is everything I would want to read about it - Fated mates, tension, delicious chemistry it has it all. This book was also very spicy just the way I like it🥵

You could absolutely read this as a stand alone however I would always advise to read book one first. In book two our MMC is Raths brother Kael and our FMC is a dancer called Elle. Kael is everything - he’s flirty, funny, possessive and just what I would imagine a demon lover to be like. I loved the chemistry and banter between the two characters. I felt like the characters bonded over feeling like the family outcasts. It was so lovely to watch them find each other and put themselves first.

Thank you to Scarlett Ash & Avon UK for sending me an early release copy!

This book is not a let-down from the first. The fact that it was his brother who played a part in the first book was more than interesting; however, it is easily a standalone book too.
The petite ballerina who loved to dance, and the fact that he was always considering himself to be the spare and believing he would never find his fated mate, made for such an interesting story.
The twists and turns compel you to read just one more chapter, consistently. I absolutely loved this book!
Without spoilers, the fact that she had never really had anything in her entire life other than dance to turn to, alongside the fact that he had only ever been the spare — a joking, frivolous character who played to the scene — made their story all the more compelling.
The ending is dynamic! And do they stay together? Well… read it and see! You will love it as much as I did. ❤️

Kael has been through so much in his long demon life. He has always thought of himself as the spare and never expected to find his fated mate. He hides his pain behind humor and quips, and it works; everyone around him sees only the frivolous charmer. There is so much more to Kael. I was so happy to watch him finally find his HEA!

Elle is trapped in her need for perfection and ties her happiness to approval and being the best. I loved watching Elle slowly see what Kael hides beneath his jokes and easy charm. She sees the lonely heart that never expected to be chosen. They are both people who feel like they will never be enough. I really felt for both of them. The author has a gift for pulling readers into her characters' hearts without losing any of the chemistry and steam between them. And oh boy, the steam!

What I loved most was the emotional core beneath the steam. Watching Elle overcome her insecurities and claim real agency, with Kaels help and devotion, was so moving. I enjoyed watching their relationship develop into something worth keeping. The Demon's Claim can be read as a standalone, but it's even better as part of the series. I'm already looking forward to book three!

Scarlett Ash's novel, The Demon's Claim, is another good one. Ash's The Demon Kiss introduced us to the underworld through a dream connection, and this one follows the same pattern. In this one, the Demon prince visits the human world through a dream, hoping to find his fated mate. She is a budding ballerina with dreams of making it to the top. Their witty banter, steamy encounters, and the angst associated with her reluctance to commit keep you turning the pages. Can it be read as a standalone? Sure, but why would you want to do that?
Thank you, NetGalley and the publisher, for gifting me an ARC ebook. This review and all the opinions included are my own.
