Description
When Remy travels abroad for the first time, he’s nervous! But with his mum's guidance he’s soon having fun exploring the local region of Tirol in Austria. Through staying in environmentally-friendly accommodation, joining a mountain clean-up event and attending a special cultural festival, Remy and his mum learn about Austrian culture, the environment and how to be responsible travellers.
Join Remy on a sustainable travel adventure, and learn how you too can make a positive difference and leave the smallest footprint wherever you roam.
Remy and the Great Alpine Adventure is proudly hand-illustrated by Argentinian illustrator, Gabriel San Martin. Gabriel worked for months bringing this story to life, and the result is a children’s book filled with vibrant, engaging and immersive art that can be appreciated by children of all ages.

This book was great! I enjoyed a lot of parts of the book, like using public transit, traveling by Train, Visiting a location in their off season. And I loved watching the child learn about fresh, local food.

Remy and his mom travel to the Tyrolean part of Austria. where they visit friends. Remy learns all about sustainable tourism and there are actually some solid tips for such in the book.
Eat local food such as eggs and produce, buy locally made handcrafts, reduce litter--these are a few of the tips, and I would love to read these to students and discuss not only Austria but ecological tourism as a whole.
The artwork is very engaging. I hope that this book will be part of a series, since the author hinted at such.
