These novellas are just so fun, especially with the duet narration of the audiobook! Normally, I HATE the miscommunication trope (which is here in spades in this novella) BUT I weirdly didn't hate it here. Given the specific circumstances of the surprise baby's conception, I bought why they both said what they said at the time and I also bought the reason for MMC Dane being absent for the next 4 months. And because it's novella length and not a full length novel, the amount of miscommunication wasn't annoying to me.

Overall, it's entertaining and has lots of yearning, which I love. It's a lighthearted, fun, fast-paced spicy novella!

This was an enjoyable, quick read with lots of spice but also tons of longing and desire. The characters are actually quite sweet for a mafia romance and the author captures their yearning for each other so well. I loved the switch in perspective and how they both wanted the same thing but didn’t want the other to know. If you love a story that you can just get lost in for a couple of hours this is a great one.
The narrators were wonderful and they brought the story to life well.

Oh my dearest Evie, how the hell do you keep coming up with this pure literary gold? Firstly, Mr Bridger? Are you a fan of the Italian Job by any chance? Please tell me you are and i'm not the only one that made the link. Oh, and what on earth were you thinking, sending a mafia boss out of London? That was always going to end in disaster.

Now for the actual book. I think this is my favourite series so far, and this is yet another dose of the smutty, silliness that Evie Rose fans have come to expect, particularly with the London Maths Club. She even manages to squeeze in a 'Death or Donuts' mention. The whole series are just such feel good, uplifting books that, if they don't make you laugh, you need to seek professional help. If big growly mafia bosses, that are actually marshmallows when it comes to women and children and their wives, who have a smutty book club aren't enough to make you smile. How about lines like 'responsible sex only, well at least non fatal' I mean, seriously!

Rex was new for me but I must say I enjoyed his narration very much. As always Lucy was perfection.

You can always expect a good time from an Evie Rose book. The story is short, spicy, and a little bit sweet.
Dane is a mafia boss that is in love with his assistant who is 14 years younger than him so he will not act on his feelings that is until fate intervenes. Stephie is secretly pining for her boss and one crazy night she gets her wish and so much more. Dane was a wonderful book boyfriend, what woman doesn't want her baby daddy to be this excited, tentative, and all around sweet to her while she is pregnant.

I am a fan of Evie Rose books. She writes fun, short, and spicy novellas for all romance lovers to enjoy!

Another super quick and fun read from Evie Rose! I couldn't stop laughing at the antics between Stephie and Dane! I am usually annoyed by miscommunication, but with these two I loved it. They are both so clueless about their mutual feelings and they just dance around each other keeping their feelings to their selves. Then the secret Stephie keeps, I just couldn't wait for Dane to find out.

Lucy Rivers and Max Matteo narrate this book in DUET format and did an amazing job! I loved this listen!
