CHOOSE JOY is a compilation of handy devotionals aimed towards the busy modern woman. Although these devotionals are designed to be read once a day and pondered and prayed over, I found myself fascinated by them and often read two or three at a time. The devotionals are laid out well and quite straightforward – a topic, a bible verse with a companion devotional read, and a prayer to tie it all together; things that speak to the heart and a woman’s daily life.

Very well done, and something I can really use. One tiny complaint, the turquoise blue font is not as easy on my eyes as black; but it is a small thing that doesn't affect my overall enjoyment.

Choose Joy: 3-Minute Devotions for Women Compiled by Barbour Staff will be published this next February First and it is a wonderful little book for each of us, women. Bring it wherever you go and read it often. You will find thanks to these christian words inspiration, peace, harmony and joy!


The book is plenty of devotions that can be read in just few minutes everyday and there are so many topics treated in the book!

All optimistic topics the book is structured first of all in a verse, then a short devotional reading that will explain the verse previously read and/or meditate as well, and later a little conversation with God. I found the book truly captivating for the many thematic treated.

The cover is wonderful, relaxing, friendly. A great book for each of us! and a wonderful and precious gift as well!

I am a huge fan of devotionals. They are the time I spent with just me and God. While I have purchased many over the years, this one is certainly one of my favorite. We all have three minutes to spend and make a connection and clearer path in life. These simple devotions can change an outlook and change an entire day.

Inspiring and uplifting, beautiful quote's which start your day off the right way.
I will be purchasing more copies of this to give to my friends.

A great way of getting a quick pick-me-up, I use them on my daily commute as they're simple to complete yet fulfilling and a good way to set your day up if you're a Christian.

This was a great book, I liked that the devotions were short and I could choose to do more than 1 per day.  I loved that the mantra was to Choose Joy.  We all need encouragement to choose joy instead of getting down.

I really like this Devotional ! It is short and just the right thing to start the day with if your a busy mom. It could also be read to daughters by the mom as a short devotion of God’s Love to share with them as they move into womanhood.  Being  a homeschool mom it is important to me to spend a few minutes with the Lord and this gave me a few minutes if I get up and children are already up. It brings peace and joy to my heart in a few short moments and that is what I needed lately to inspire me.

I appreciated the theme of Choose Joy: 3-Minute Devotions for Women by Compiled by Barbour Staff. The format was a simple one of Bible verse, short devotional and prayer. At first glance the devotional seemed shorter than the 3 minutes it was designed to be, but looking closer, I could see how it a jumping off place that you could mediate on all day. The simple devotions remind us of all the joys in the Christian life which is thought provoking indeed. 

How long one spend on thinking about the verses, praising God and praying would be left up to the individual. It can be as long or short as you choose to think about the reading as you go through your day. I liked the devotional, it jumped started my days by putting my focusing God’s goodness and choosing joy in my life.

Choose Joy: 3-Minute Devotions for Women is an enjoyable devotional book complied by Babour Staff.

According to the Introduction, "These devotions are especially for those days when you need a bit of encouragement and a gentle reminder to: CHOOSE JOY! Three minutes from your busy day is all you'll need to refresh your spirit and fill your cup to overflowing with joy for the journey."

Each daily devotion features the title, scripture verse, devotional text, and prayer. Also, a Scripture Index is included at the end of the book. Unfortunately, the font and illustrations are depicted in a faded blue color, which is slightly harder to read.

Choose Joy is geared towards women of all ages, particularly young adults to older generations. With one devotional per page, this book may easily be added to your current personal devotional time or it's a a great way to start setting aside time each day to spend with God.

Loved this little book , All us momas really have anymore is about 3 minutes to ourselves and it is best spent speaking with our Lord and having devotional time ! Can't wait to buy myself a hardback copy and my Moma and sisters this Mothers day , we all deserve some time to ourselves , and this little book is just the right pick me up !

The book is plenty of devotions that can be read in just few minutes everyday and there are so many topics treated in the book!

Review:

I really liked the format of this book.  It was divided into three parts: a scripture reading, a devotional reading and a prayer, all designed to give us hope, joy and comfort.  And who could not use more of those things in your everyday life.  Sometimes everything just overwhelms us and we need to take a step back and try to put things back into perspective.  That is what this book did for me, reminded me I had a lot to be thankful for and joyous about.  And reminded me to try not to stress out too much.  My favorite prayers was: Father God, lift all anxiety from my heart, and make my spirit light again.  I know I can’t do it on my own.  But with you, I can let go...and watch You work!  I praise you, God!  I repeat it to myself every day.  I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a quick devotional that you will have time to read every day for a quick pep talk.
