So, she’ll do whatever it takes to make her best friend Jill’s wedding absolutely perfect. That includes taking the next flight out of Sacramento to retrieve the panicked bride’s cherished family wedding charm from her late grandmother’s attic in Atlanta, Georgia.

When Sarah and Ben arrive in Atlanta, instead of finding the wedding charm there’s a letter from the bride’s grandmother directing the bride and groom to complete a series of tasks in order to prove their commitment to each other. How far would YOU go to make your best friend's wedding perfect?

Sarah never thought she'd have to fly across the country to Atlanta two days before her best friend Jill's wedding, with her high school nemesis Ben no less, to retrieve a family good-luck charm. But that's what best friends do, right?

Discovering that Jill's grandmother was a meddling old lady who has set tasks for Jill and her fiancé to complete before they can get the charm puts a definite crimp in Sarah's plans to make a hasty getaway. She has no choice but to pretend to be madly in love with Ben in order to get the charm.

Before she knows it, Sarah finds herself invading the pitch at an Atlanta Braves game, lying her way into a museum, almost getting arrested for stealing a Degas, crashing a Southern high tea, falling into a lake, rescuing a dog, and falling in love.

She could probably have taken it all in her stride except for that last part...

This was absolutely DELIGHTFUL. I loved Sarah and Ben together; the whole story was like a slice of wedding cake, sweet and delicious. I hadn't encountered Susan Hatler's books before but I'll definitely be looking out for more of hers in the future.

Five stars for a charming and adventure-filled love story!

I was looking for a fun, whimsical read for the weekend, and that's exactly what I found in The Wedding Charm. Sarah is her best friend's maid of honor, and she can't wait to be part of the festivities. With one giant exception...

Sarah has had a major crush on Ben since elementary school, but it doesn't seem that he returns her affections. He has always been ultra-competetive with Sarah, and even ruined her science fair projecting, guaranteeing that she lost the scholarship that came with the winning prize.

Fast forward to adulthood and Ben is still showing Sarah up. He even had the nerve to pay the dinner bill for the entire wedding party, Sarah included, when she attempted to do the same herself. Chaos ensues when Jill realizes the storied family weddding charm was left behind in Atlanta. She must have the charm to get married. Sarah jumps at the chance to save the day for her friend, but not before Ben tries to do the same. The pair end up travelling to Atlanta together, and encounter a lot of repressed emotions along the way. I can't wait for more of this series

High school crush revisited and a scavenger hunt. What an interesting combination. The wedding plays second fiddle to the drama surrounding the wedding charm search. There are some humorous parts as the story unfolds. I enjoyed the book!

This is the first book from this author I have read. I loved it!!! It was fun, sweet, and romantic. The story flowed smoothly. The author told such a wonderful tale. It was so fun to read and he lost in the characters. I didn't want to put it down. It was a romance story that has never been told before. The wedding charm is quickly fun romantic and sweet.
The main characters Sarah and Ben have excellent chemistry. Sarah is snarky, quirky, funny and has trouble trusting Ben. Ben is smart, serious, fun and doesn't have faith in marriage. They are both tasked with going to Atlanta to find Jill's Grandmother's wedding charm. Jill and Ryan can't get married until they have the charm. While in Atlanta they have to perform three tasks while pretending to be an engaged couple, to be able to obtain the charm. Can they perform the tasks and fool everyone? Will their hearts survive and make it back in time to save Jill's wedding? Well let's just say you must read to find out. I definitely recommend this book. #happyreading #fangirl

I have to say I loved this sweet romance. Sarah and Ben are forced together when they are standing up as best man and maid of honor at Jill and Ryan’s wedding. Sarah has had a crush on Ben since elementary school, but he is constantly teasing her and competing with her. However, things take a turn when Jill realizes she doesn’t have her grandmother’s wedding charm and Sarah and Ben set out to get it for her. They think they are simply flying to Atlanta to pick it up, but when they arrive they find out they must complete three tasks to earn the charm. Sarah and Ben must pretend to be Jill and Ryan while completing these tasks to prove they will have a lasting marriage. Will their love turn out to be more than a game of pretend? Will they be able to make it back in time for the wedding with the charm?

I loved this story. I loved that it wasn’t an insta-love story, but rather a couple that had known each other most of their lives. I also liked having the backstory of their childhoods without having to spend half the book in flashbacks. They were sweet together and things developed in a more natural way. Sure, the task of getting the wedding charm was a bit extreme, but it was still somehow believable. I was rooting for these two from the very start.

The author did a great job introducing the characters and making me care about them. I had a feeling from the beginning that there was more to Ben and his behavior toward Sarah. He seemed to be too amused by her and her perseverance to be the competitive tormentor she thought he was. Seeing their relationship develop was fun and lighthearted. They were great together and seemed to bring out the best in one another. While Sarah could get caught up in the tasks and stress, Ben brought out her fun, lighthearted side. Sarah’s determination to help others kept Ben focused and believing they could accomplish anything.

I also loved that the conflict in this story wasn’t over the top. Instead, they were dealing with real world problems people could actually identify with. Yes, the tasks to get the charm and trouble they brought were a bit over the top, but these weren’t really the problems for these characters. No, their real problems included things like sick family members, financial concerns, and questions of commitment and love following the divorce of someone you love. These are things that real people deal with all the time. It definitely helped keep the characters and overall story believable.

The secondary characters were also a nice addition to the story. I know I am curious as to what will happen with Avery and her housing crisis. I would also like to go back and read about Jill and Ryan and how they met. If their friends are this willing to make their wedding perfect, they must have a pretty good story. Overall, Susan Hatler crafted a great story that left me wanting more. In fact, my only complaint is the lack of an epilogue. However, I am hoping to see these characters again in this series. Perhaps that will satisfy my need. Definitely an author and series I plan to check out again.

I picked up this book and read it in a morning! I couldn't put it down! Sweet, cute, quirky characters with a hook that was easily relatable. Who didn't have a unrequited crush on someone when they were in high school. Seeing their fake relationship while trying to accomplish tasks to secure the Wedding Charm blossom into love was so enjoyable. I'm hooked and ready to go and buy the rest of the series.

The fun definition of "love grows on you."
I loved every bit of adventure Sarah and Ben found themselves in, all in an attempt to get the Wedding charm promised to Sarah's friend, Jill. It was a delight reading this. Hats off to Sarah for not backing down from a fight, especially when Ben always wanted to be the one to steal the show (totally loved this).
This is the first book I have read in the series and I am glad that I got it off NetGalley because this was just the kind of break I needed from intense study!

A sweet story. Sarah Carlton, Maid of Honor and best man Ben Atkins end up going on a hunt for a wedding charm the bride needs. Sarah had a childhood crush on Ben but he was never seen her like that and he doesn't seem to believe in marriage and it's ability to last. Some sweet and funny moments. First time reading by this author and would recommend both the book and author and will try more of her books in the future. Left review on Amazon.uk

Such a sweet and fun novella to read. My only complaint - I wish it was a full length book so I could have had more time with the characters and the antics they faced throughout the story.

Cute story! It was a short read and no steamy sex scenes, but it was a good read and the chemistry felt real between the characters. I enjoyed this book and found myself smiling for the most part while reading it. I would recommend to friends and family.

It is very rare that I read contemporary romance it's not that I don't like them but I tend to go for the spicier kind but the moment I caught a glance of the blurb to this book I was hooked.

This book has a great storyline and fantastic characters I loved the little missions they both had to do to get their friends charm for her wedding as it brought them closer together and the chemistry was electric.

I loved little moose what a sweetie. but one thing I adored the most was the ending.

I've read many books by Susan Hatler now, and they almost never disappoint me. This was a really funny, sweet, drama-free, and quick read. Perfect for reading slumps or if you just need a short story to brighten the mood!

Ben and Sarah have been childhood nemesis ever since he destroyed a science fair project of hers and she retaliated. Years later, they are still trying to best the other one. Best man and maid of honor respectively at their friend's wedding, they race to Atlanta to retrieve the bride's 'something old'- a wedding charm that has been handed down from bride to bride in the family. But the bride's recently deceased grandmother, disappointed with how many couples in her family got divorced, has set some challenges for the couple to prove their commitment. Desperate not to disappoint their friends, Ben and Sarah pretend to be the happy couple to get the charm. It's all fun and games- until feelings both have kept under wraps for years take over...

To say that Sarah and Ben have had a connection since elementary school would be accurate… if not the entire story. More like adversaries in Sarah’s opinion considering he sabotaged her science project, one she really needed to win for the grant money prize for college. But while she’d had a love / hate relationship with Ben over the years, she couldn’t deny that he also played a role in her romantic fantasies as well. Sure she’s angry at his actions but there’s still that younger girl who is holding on to that crush, when all she wanted was him to notice her. And here they are as adults, part of the wedding party of their good friends… and they’re still trying to do the “one up” each other thing. Only difference is this time if they save the day and the wedding by collecting Jill’s family wedding charm they might also discover that perception is an odd thing – and what you’ve always believed isn’t totally correct all the time.

The Wedding Charm is a sweet, funny and yes, charming romance between two people who care more about each other than they’ve let on or even realize. The quest that Jill’s grandmother inadvertently gives them to complete will show that to them over the course of doing the tasks to prove their love and commitment to each other… or Jill and Ryan who they’re pretending to be. I had fun with this story, the main couple are believable and full of the unease of knowing how they feel and wishing the other felt the same. Love takes some risks, and sometimes saying the words out loud is the biggest risk of all. But the reward is so worth it. And we met some interesting secondary characters that we might see again, time will tell. I’m looking forward to picking up the next story in The Wedding Whisperer series. But,hey, it’s a Susan Hatler story so I expect a lovely couple and an entertaining romance – ti’s what she does best.

I would highly recommend this first story in a new series to any Romance reader who loves believable, likable people and a fun story line.

Unputdownable. An amusing and romantic story with three old ladies giving tasks to the supposed bride and groom for them to prove their commitment to each other. In the process, the maid of honour and best man find a love of their own.

A wedding and a scavenger hunt give two long time enemies, the chance to make things right in Susan Hatler's feel good romantic comedy. He's the jerk that sabotaged her high school science project. She's the girl who could always push his buttons. A much in demand wedding charm and a matchmaking grandma spell trouble for this long feuding duo. Ms. Hatler knows how to have fun and it shines through in her heartwarming stories. The Wedding Charm is a wild ride.

Maid of honor Sarah Carlton is none too happy to find out her childhood nemesis, Ben Atkins, is the best man at her best friend's wedding. He's been constantly one-upping her since they were in school, which totally infuriates her. When they're thrown together on a quest to find the bride's family wedding charm and forced to complete a series of tasks to retrieve it, they've gotta set aside the past and learn to work together.

I completely adored The Wedding Charm! It was perfectly paced, keeping me entertained the whole way through. I read it in one afternoon, it was so good! Written in first person from Sarah's point of view, she was a fun and sassy narrator. Ben was super charming and swoon-worthy with a funny side to him. They're super competitive and complete opposites, but the perfect match. I loved Moose the dog... so adorable! This was such a delightful and fun, feel-good romance that I would definitely recommend to lovers of sweet romantic comedies!
