Penny Rushmore writes books and has a nice life with her dog Tigger and occasional visits from her beloved granddaughter Rosie. Then, the unthinkable happens. Rosie’s mother Crystal takes her away, and the rest of the book is dedicated to finding and rescuing Rosie. Penny is one very determined grandmother, and she has the help of a rogue police detective, who also happens to be very attractive. Her sister Stephanie is also an author and provokes Penny to greater feats of daring, while her women’ s club meets to encourage her to just keep working on her book and to start a relationship with Rick, the neighboring police detective who is so “hot.” When Penny finds out where Rosie is, wild horses will not stop her from doing everything possible to get her safely home again. The adventure is believable and entertaining, although there are a lot of characters who do not seem necessary and detract from the flow of the story. All in all, the book was enjoyable with a lot of humor, some suspense and fun characters. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who would like to laugh out loud and cheer for the recovery of the kidnapped child.

An easy quick read. Penny's grand daughter disappears and it is up to her to find her. I liked the style of writing and the pace of the book. I think parts of the plot are a bit unbelievable but overall it is an enjoyable read.

Review to be updated at a later time once the first two books have been read as well. I was enjoying it until I realized there were other books I had not read yet.

I am reviewing a copy of Gone Tomorrow through Blackjack Publishing and Netgalley:

Penny is a vulnerable woman, approaching retirement, she feels she is to old to love again, and worries that she doesn't have a lot of years left. When her Granddaughter goes missing she realizes that it is best to make all you can out of today, because everything can change in an instant.

Gone Tomorrow is funny, entertaining, dark and filled with suspense. The main character Penny is a believable, funny, spunky, likable, almost retirement aged woman

If you are looking for a short, action packed read then I would recommend Gone Tomorrow!

Five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!
