Description

Eight years after fleeing Christmas Falls because of a high school prank gone wrong, Ashley Brooks receives a mysterious letter from her mentor asking her to come home. She arrives to face all she left behind—her family, her friends, and the rich boy she’d loved who would never date the girl from the wrong side of town.

Brent Donnelly, high school jock, brainiac, and dutiful son did everything right until the day Ashley returns to Christmas Falls. With one look at the girl who got away he questions all his life choices, including following in his father’s footsteps in the family business.

Faced with a potentially devastating decline of tourism in their hometown, Brent and Ashley must work together to save the magic of their town, but when Ashley discovers he still has feelings for her best friend she must finally face the real reason she left Christmas Falls—to try to heal her broken heart.

Advance Praise

Ashley has always felt that she was the odd one in her family. She tried to fit in but she always felt her parents' disapproval. They would go to her siblings events, but not to hers. Ashley's six best friends from school were more of a family to her, than her biological one. But she pulled a prank after high school graduation that was so bad, she left home without saying goodbye to them.

Ashley's favorite, special teacher sent her a letter asking her to come home. And that's when Ashley comes back home for a visit. She has so many issues with her family to deal with, and worries about what her friends think of her since leaving town so abruptly. She had a crush on Brent in high school, but she felt that he was too good for her. Surprise, surprise on all fronts. And then, there's the problems concerning Christmas Falls itself.

Ciara Knight authors well-written books with such likeable, relatable characters. Homecoming in Christmas Falls is a winner.

You can go home and reconnect with family and high school friends. Communication is important. Great story and character development.

Ciara Knight's new book is wonderful!
🎄Homecoming in Christmas Falls🎄
It is a touching, & emotional story.
Ashley's returned to Christmas Falls,
after being gone eight years.
She received a letter from Miss Cate,
her old choir teacher, asking her to return,  to speak to her in person.
Ash has not spoken with her parents,
who asked her to leave, eight years ago.
She left graduation night, & never looked back. She left without saying goodbye
to Miss Cate, her six best friends & Brent, the boy she has always loved, from afar.
Ash was sad to see, her quaint hometown, has had so many changes.
She was barely in Christmas Falls,
when she was pulled over.
Ash saw Brent, watching from across the street. Just her luck.
Now Ash wants to find out, why she was asked to return, so she can get back to her life, & business in Key West.
I loved the book, & really enjoyed reading it.
🎄 A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE!! 🎄

Oh my ever-loving god! This book had me in my feels from the beginning! I had to stop reading more than once so that I could see through the tears to continue.reading. This book was one of the most amazing sickly sweet books I have read lately. I loved it!!!

Great start to this series. This book definitely put me in the mood for Christmas. A romance but also a story about friendships and family. True friendship is when you can go long times without talking and pick up right where you left off when you do. Ashley had a crush on Brent and who does she run into almost instantly - you guessed it. I'll admit he did frustrate me but he came around. We often feel and think things are one way when actually they are somewhat or totally different. This was a really good book and left me feeling hopeful and ready to read the next one. The author did a good job of introducing the other friends who will have their own books. I voluntarily received an ARC from NetGalley.

An interesting story that opens with Ashley Brooks returning to Christmas Falls because of a letter she received from her old choir teacher. She has not been in touch with any from the town for the past eight years including her parents. Leaving town eight years ago after being arrested along with her best friends, the book opens with her being arrested once again for an outstanding speeding ticket. Not only is that but the guy she had a crush on forever there as well. She still does. Brent Donnelly sees Ashley and sees a do over, he must chose. Does he follow in his father’s foots steps or does he go after the girl he has always thought was an inspiration and full of life when she was around, and how life has become dull since she has been gone for eight years. The story takes you through Ashley’s past and how she felt and how she feels now. When she goes to her parents and her and her mom finally talk and make Christmas cookies together the story really begins to shine. Now can the town and the community center be saved and does Brent want her really or does he want to follow in his father’s footsteps? My only problem with the book was the ending a few loose ends, but then I realized that there are seven books, so I am guessing that you have to get to number seven to find out about the town and the community center. Overall a good book.

This book could be made into a Hallmark mini series movie event. It's sugar and sweet and has the perfect amount of conflict, resolutions, mistaken information and it's all for the greater good of saving Christmas town. Ashley and Brent are super cute together and all the cuddling and sneaking in a kiss here and there is so sweet. Their master plan to open a business together and save the town hall comes at a cost but is it worth the price to pay to lose the relationship they have just created? It really is a sweet story.

When I first cracked open Homecoming in Christmas Falls and saw that it was written in first person, I nearly closed it right away. It’s just a personal preference of mine, but I have a hard time enjoying stories written this way, but I was SO curious about the story that I pushed past the first chapter and then the second, and soon I was wondering who’s story would be next.
Ashley was a bit of a wild child back in the day, not reckless or even destructive, just energetic for a small town girl who never fit in with her family. Though this is a love story, I really enjoyed watching Ash reconnect with her parents, who she’d always viewed through the eyes of a hurt teenage girl. But nearly a decade apart can change things. Change people and their perspectives. This part of the storyline really enhanced the overall Christmas-y feel of the whole story.
Now Ash and Brent. Ash, despite her gregariousness as a kid, had some self-esteem issues and thought she would never be good enough for the town golden boy, Brent. She thought he’d be better suited—and was already interested in—one of her besties, Piper. So after THE EVENT, she packed up and left town never to return.
Until this year when her teacher, mentor and surrogate mother calls the girls home, setting the stage for the whole Christmas Falls series.
Now that she’s a successful business woman with a clear vision of the past, Ash wants to help the town get back the magic it used to have. She’ll put her business sense to good use, along with Brent, to make the place truly fantastic again.
But this is a romance and Homecoming in Christmas Falls wouldn’t be complete without talking about these two. From the moment they appear on the page together, sparks fly. Brent is gorgeous and sweet, an irresistible combination that Ash succumbs to pretty quickly. Instead of being scared as she’d always been, Ash dives in and lets him know how she feels and her plans for the future.
Then it’s Brent’s turn to chicken out and go running. I was upset with him, but Ciara Knight created really beautiful drama with this part of the story. You could feel Ash’s pain and wanted to do serious bodily harm to a guy that seemed pretty damn perfect…until this moment. But I loved that it allowed Ash to see how strong she really is.
This was a really good read. It was cheesy and sweet and fun and filled with over the top Christmas, and none of that took away my enjoyment of this story.

The story reminded me of Willa Cather is the way the author immerses the reader into the thought process of the main character, Rose. Rose has always felt Luke an outsider in her own family, being the middle child, she was often forgotten about by her parents. I could relate to, Rose, due to I always felt my family thought I was not worth their time, often times feeling like I had to prove I was good enough. Rose has come back to her home town and is afraid no one will want to see her. She is arrested for speeding, and when the officer runs her licence and finds that there is a prior ticket that was not paid. She is released to the one man with whom Rose has always lived from afar. She can not tell him how she feels, due to she feels that she is not good enough.

Homecoming in Christmas Falls is a sweet, lovable Christmas romance to curl up with. I enjoyed this story Brent and Ashley were great characters and when they need to work together to save their town the magic shines through their interaction. I look forward to reading more of this series.

This was a very sweet story. Ashley had left town after a high school prank went wrong. No one was hurt, just arrested. She left without saying goodbye to anyone. Eight years later, she returns because a favorite teacher requested it. The teacher was not well and wanted the 7 girls to sing one more time together. Still in the small town was a man that she had liked as a teenager. She thought he was with someoe else but he wasn't. She had a thriving business in Key West and only wanted to stay the shorted time possible, but things changed rapidly., I liked this story It was about misunderstandings and realizations as an adult. Very nice. I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

I always enjoy Ciara Knight’s heart-warming love stories. Homecoming in Christmas Falls is definitely that. I want to thank the author and Net-Galley for the opportunity to read this delightful tale.

This is a unique series where several authors have joined forces and each written a romance about a group of friends who made a pact as children.

Now they are all adults, and come together for their beloved music teacher who is fighting a life-threatening disease.

Homecoming in Christmas Falls is the first book in this series, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The characters are real with flaws, especially the heroine, but that just makes her more endearing.

The premise for this story is intriguing, so I enjoyed the plot a great deal. If you like Christmas tales that will put joy in your heart, then you will love Homecoming in Christmas Falls. Happy reading!

-‘Brent Donnelly really was the most handsome man that ever walked into my world and left his name on my forever Christmas wish list.’-

What a welcome to receive on her first day back to Christmas Falls after being away for 8 years: being arrested! Thankfully, Brent is there to witness the whole thing and to bail her out of jail. He’s always been Ash’s biggest cheerleader, aside from Miss Anna Cate. The Christmas Falls series of stories centres around one recurring character, a former music teacher, Miss Anna Cate, who motivates and inspires a group of seven girls in sixth grade. Eight years after high school graduation, Miss Anna Cate sends letters to each of these girls, asking them to reunite and perform one last Christmas pageant together. None of them really want to come back, each with her own personal baggage. But, every one of them feels she wants to repay her former teacher for her kindness over the years and they all come back... This is Ashley’s story in the Christmas Falls series of clean romances.

I enjoyed the humour in this story and the fast pace. I was disappointed to find several spelling and grammatical errors, though. I received an advanced reader’s copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I did not receive compensation for my review.
