This is a very calming bible study. Each day has a bible reading, a short devotion, and a prayer. I will use this book twice a day, once in the morning to get my day started right, then I will read it again before I go to bed to help me relax. This would a great gift book for anyone. This Bible study book is unlike one I’ve ever read before. I felt at peace reading each bible study lesson and going about my day without spending a large quantity of time to delve into it. Each day has a bible reading, a short devotion, and a prayer. This would a great gift book for anyone

I wasn’t sure what to e pact with this book as I know that in the Christian community there is often a pressure not to talk about anxiety as it implies a lack of faith in God.
I didn’t get that impression here. It gives examples of those in the bible who struggled with anxiety and encourages a deeper learning in how to use your faith to help navigate through your anxiety rather than faith being enough alone.
I think if you have a strong faith then this could really help you avoid the guilt of mental illness though I’m not sure if it would be relevant for those less confirmed.

This is a wonderful resource that if read in 5 minutes reads like a devotional. However, if you take your time it could easily turn in to a wonderful Bibles study for you. Each day contains scripture, an understand portion, an apply portion, and a prayer.
The understand portion has a lot of great thoughts and questions for deeper reflection. I do suggest using a journal to really dig in and write down all your thoughts. The apply section not only helps you apply it to your life, but also relate to the situation described in the scripture. These elements are my favorite and really let you immerse yourself in study.
This book is so wonderful because it is versatile. If you have the time, spend it really digging in and jotting your thoughts and answers to the questions down. If you bought it because your short on time and the 5-minute title appealed to you then I suggest reading it quickly and reflecting on the questions throughout the day.
I suggest this book to anyone. No matter your available time, you have time for this book. It's a wonderful tool that is not meant for just learning. It's meant for application.

This 5 minute bible study is wonderful! If you are like me and experience Anxiety even a little, this book is for you or if you know someone struggling it makes a great gift! It’s broken down in different bible verses with explanations as to what can be causing your anxiety as well as how to get through it by getting to the root of what’s causing it. I received this ARC for an honest review and I will definitely be buying one for me and friends!

Anxiety. It’s an emotion that we all feel at times, some more than others. For me, it is a part of my day much more often than I would like. This book stood out to me because of that. If you are battling anxiety, but do not have a lot of time to devote to reading, this would be the perfect book for you. Each day includes reading passages from the Bible, answer questions that cause you to apply the reading to your own life, read a devotional that is related to the scripture, and pray. I enjoyed the format of the book, and the fact that I could easily fit it into my day as a busy, working mom. It is a great way to start your day off on a good note, or end the day in a peaceful way. I plan to read through it again with a friend.

This book uses bible verses and prayer to calm an anxious heart or mind. It's soothing, and it's a nice reminder that not everything is as bad as it seems. I would recommend this bible study for anyone looking to reduce stress. Whether you are a regular church goer or not religious at all, I think people from all walks of life could find this book useful.

Janice Thompson's book The 5-Minute Bible Study for the Anxious Heart breaks Bible study into four steps. Each section gives you a passage to read, questions to help you understand, a short devotion to apply the message, and finally a prayer. Readers are given a longer scripture passage to read in additional to the short passage included in the book. I have enjoyed using this book for my daily devotion time. The short time required helps anyone with daily Bible study.
