As a partially stand-alone sequel to "The Methuselah Project" Rick Barry takes you on a one of a kind journey with Rodger Greene and Katherine Mueller as they dodge bullets, see doubles, fight what seems to be each other, and try to find a way to have a romance when things don't go as expected.
I enjoy the way that Barry brought the characters we previously met in the first book to life in a real way, the suspense was spot on, and the romance sweet.
With subjects that I don't normally, or should say, haven't really thought about in this way, I found that I still very much liked the story.
Due to content, this book is better for 17 up.
Recommend for those that enjoy WWII fiction, superheroes, sci-fi, and suspense.

Although this is the second book in a series, I didn’t read the first and had no problem getting into this excellent story. The protagonist, Roger, has special abilities that get put to the test when he is asked to leave his Air Force post and work with the CIA. Traveling to Paris and the Ukraine, Roger searches for an imprisoned scientist who saved his life. Lots of action, excellent plot, and inspiration in the power of prayer.

I missed out on reading the first book in the series, but now I’m going to have to get a hold of it. Within the first few pages of this one, I was hooked and didn’t want to stop reading. The action is fast paced and intriguing. The characters are well described and easy to imagine. It was both exciting and a little sad to reach the end of the story.
Throughout the book, Roger’s faith guides him, and influences other people. He serves as an example of what it looks like to trust God, regardless of what situations you might encounter.

This is the sequel to The Methuselah Project. Though this book can stand alone, I think it is more enjoyable if you've read the first book like I had. This is a fast paced, adult, christian science fiction book. It has several interesting plot twists. I don't want to give anything away. You won't want to stop reading once you start. The second half is especially non-stop page turning.
