The pictures and illustrations are exquisite, it is flooded with games and puzzles to keep the kids busy while they learn at the same time. The book is from a deep well of knowledge. Good work Brailynn Camille!

Brailynn goes to Paris, France is a brightly illustrated, unique and fun adventure for all children to enjoy. I adored how it combined the power of imagination, introductions to famous Paris landmarks, simple french terms, and subtle awareness of ASD in a way that is easy for children to absorb. This is one of the first books I have read containing characters on the spectrum that really highlighted strengths and positive attributes, instead of focusing on the things that may cause others to see them as different. As a mom to children on the spectrum, this portrayal really felt hopeful that the world can see all children for who they are, rather than defining them by a label alone.

I love everything about this book. I’m so glad to see more representation in children’s book than what I had growing up. This is one I will definitely be buying as a gift for my niece!

The Adventures of the Ausome Kid by Brailynn Camille tells the story of Brailynn and her friend Starr, and their adventures of imagination in Paris, France. The girls spend a day together, and with the help of a little imagination, visit Paris sights such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and New Bridge. Brailynn also helps people along the way with the help of her super powers.

This book is unique, as it was written by a child with Autism. Autism is touched on briefly in the book, but is not made into a huge part of the book. The book is creative and thoughtful, and would definitely appeal to other children. The illustrations are on point and engaging, and Brailynn is a girl that you would want to meet on your vacation to Paris. The book also tells interesting facts about all the places that Brailynn and Starr visit, so your child will be getting some of those, as well as learning empathy and about those with disabilities.

This book would be perfect for your young school aged child (think kindergarten through 3rd grade).

Thank you to the author, illustrator, publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love the bright and colorful illustrations in this book, you can almost picture yourself in Paris. I love that kids are encouraged to use their imagination throughout this book. You know an imagination was needed because the Mona Lisa is never without an audience!

Brailynn did a great job of including interesting facts and locations in this first adventure, can't wait to see were the Adventures of the Ausome Kid take us next.

This is a children's fiction storybook. Brailynn takes her friend Starr on an imaginary trip to Paris. During their "ausome" adventure they see sights like the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dome and the Louvre. They also eat croissants and help a couple of people along the way. The book is colorfully illustrated and Brailynn explains she has ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). The pictures are cute and colorful and the adventure is fairly short. I would think this would be more something someone would read to younger readers like K-2nd grade. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC ebook in exchange for an honest review. (3.5 stars)

I really enjoyed this book! The plot wasn't too complex, but that isn't a bad thing, as that makes it easier for children to follow. I highly recommend this book if you have a young child or work with children. I hope there's more books like this in the future.

'Brailynn goes to Paris, france' is the first book in the new 'adventures of an ausome kid' series. Brailynn and her friend Starr go on a day long journey to explore Paris. The author Brailynn Camille is an 8 year old with autism. Her mother is an author who helped her tell this story. This is such a fantastic & imaginative book from such a young child. I look forward to reading more of these stories and can't wait to see what comes next for Brailynn.
