Description

Olivia is tired of being invisible. But could her resentment lead her to murder?

She lives in the perfect suburban town of Huntwood Valley, where wealthy neighbors build their own dream homes and chauffer their kids to private school and elite activities. However, Olivia’s homelife is much bleaker. She is forced to care for her mentally ill mother and abusive father until he drops dead.

Olivia’s life improves when she becomes a mother and meets three diverse women in the same stage of life. Claire is an intense, full-time lawyer with a nanny. Charlotte is a charmed transplant from Richmond married to a distracted husband. And Beth? Well, she’s perfect. Despite her anxious, erratic personality, Olivia develops meaningful friendships. But Beth is special. She has everything. Olivia sets her sites on her new obsession, determined to make herself invaluable. When her persistence turns to meddling, the friendship sours.

Olivia snaps. She unravels quickly, succumbing to familiar volatile tendencies. When the women become fearful of Olivia and her devious behavior, Olivia doesn’t quit. She persists.

How far will Olivia go to achieve the life she desperately wants?

This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, Christen Bensten and by #NetGalley. Opinions expressed are completely my own.

I couldn’t put this one down. Full of suspense, intrigue, drama, twists and turns.

Crazy on you is the perfect title. I absolutely loved this book. The main character is something but you will absolutely get sucked into the plot immediately. What a great read.

This book is one thrilling ride! Olivia has just had a baby and is experiencing Postpartum Depression. She makes the decision to form a playgroup for first time mommies that soon becomes a tight group of four. Little do they know, Olivia has a darker side and one of these women are in her sights.

This book had me hooked from the first page! I couldn't put it down. I really loved reading main character too. Great read, didn't want it to end.

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Woah, I never saw the ending coming, don't let your thoughts go into how plausible it is, just enjoy the wild outrageous ending.

Olivia is full on bat sh*t crazy, but in the beginning, I did truly resonate with all her inner monologue about motherhood. It can be so fricking hard, and isolating, and life is like a blur, where you feel so unattractive, and paralyzed by fear of not able to align up with the perfect routine. I didn't expect to resonate with someone who obviously suffers from mental disease. Thank you to the author for not making Olivia a flat character.

Olivia lives in the perfect suburban town of Huntwood Valley, with wealthy neighbours & dream homes, Olivia dreams of fitting in.
Her life soon improves when she becomes a mother and sets up a playgroup to meet other new mothers from the area.
Soon she befriends 3 mums, Charlotte, Claire & Beth.
Sure the other ladies are pleasant, but Olivia finds Beth fascinating. Beth is glamorous, she has the perfect home, the perfect relationship… the perfect life….
Crippled with her own anxieties, Olivia can’t help but feel invisible amongst the group. She is also insanely jealous of Beth and how perfect her lifestyle appears, but is everything in Beth’s life as perfect as it seems?
Olivia is tired of being invisible. But could her resentment lead her to murder?

I really enjoyed this book! A great storyline that keeps you reading on. It also has nice short chapters (which I love)
The story is told from multiple characters points of view but unlike some books of this style, I was able to follow it easily without the confusion of who was who.

I do feel the ending was slightly rushed, I was quite shocked when I realised I had already reached the epilogue as I didn’t feel quite ready for the book to end, leaving a few of my questions unanswered. That being said …. I wasn’t aware that this book is book one of ‘The Huntwood Valley Murder’ series, so I will be looking forward to reading more books from this series.

This book is a @netgalley First Read & it will be published 16th June 2022!
Keep your eyes peeled for this book and add it to your tbr!!

Crazy On You is the perfect title for this book and when you read it you will see why! Olivia has a terrible childhood and things seem to turn around when she becomes a Mom. She forms a group for other first time Moms and develops a close group of friends. Maybe too close?!!! A lot of twists in this book and the chapters are short so you just can't stop reading. The first book in a series so there will be more!

This is a thrilling read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great suspense and found myself second guessing every thought I had continuously.
Can't wait to read what the author brings out next.
Recommend reading.

Olivia is a fascinating character and the way she relates to others, her internal monologue as she justifies her perspective and her general ability to draw you into her world are testament to the talents of this author. The story itself is powerful and a bit too realistic for comfort.
