This was a great book. From the first page the illustrations were bright, bold, and eye catching. I found them to be cute and fun. I was drawn into the story from the first page. I wanted to read more, as I got deeper into the message. I love the way the important ideals and principles were relayed. Children will have no problem relating to this book and absorbing the significant moral of this story. I found this book to be perfect for a lesson on friendship, kindness, and judging st face value. I would highly recommend this story for young learners.

Cute story for younger students about dealing with bullies and not judging someone by their appearance.

Don't Judge a Lizard by His Scales is adorable! Bli and Danny are very cute characters. Growing up I always heard children have to be taught to judge others. Bli and Danny remind Bli's mother not to make snap judgments. Assumptions can be wrong.

Bli and Danny are great characters because they are willing to work on changing stereotypes to keep their friendships. As friends they work together to find a solution to the stereotypes they are facing.

The questions at the end of the story are good for children to expand on lessons learned from Bli and Danny. The parent questions serve as a reminder for parents to participate in our children's choices but also be aware of how our feelings and assumptions may affect them.

Don't Judge a Lizard by His Scales is a well written story that can be used as a read aloud or children can read to themselves as part of an anti-bully lesson. It is a five star book because of the lesson it teaches and the colorful artwork. I will happily recommend this book to anyone with children or teaching children. I hope there are sequels because I would love to read and share them.

As a Kindergarten teacher I come across children that may become a little mean to the other children. This is a great book to show children at that age what a bully is and how we can not judge another child just by how they look. I would use this book as a reimbursement to my already set kindness unit, it would be a great addition!

First Thoughts: Very cute and colorful book for children.

Bli the fly wants to be friends with Danny the Wizard Lizard but her mother is not sure if that is wise. Lizards can be dangerous for flies. So Danny decides the best thing to do is to meet Bli’s mom and prove that he is a nice guy.

Don’t Judge a Lizard by His Scales is a beautifully illustrated book about how you shouldn’t judge someone until you meet them. Bli’s mother was concerned for her child and wanted to meet her new friend. I’m not a parent but I know that it is important for parents to be involved in their child’s life and to make sure their friends are good people. Just because they might be a little rough around the edges doesn’t mean that they are necessarily bad and that is why a meeting is a good thing. Mrs. Bli realizes that she had judge Danny wrongly after she gets to meet him. You should always be concerned with who your child hangs out with as you need to make sure they are safe.

At the end of this book The Principle Gang has notes for both kids and parents because these books are made to build fundamental principles in your child and help guide your children.

I would highly recommend this for anyone who has young children that like to read or be read too.
