My husband and I are always looking for devotionals for our family of six to do at dinner with our four kids and this just was absolutely perfect. It was darling! The illustrations, the way it was laid out, and the beautiful way it was put together. Highly, highly suggest every household have this book!

Our Daily Bread for Kids is a 90-day devotional for children. I really like the format of these devotionals, with Scripture to read and interesting fun facts for children. I think this is truly a great devotional and I would recommend this for all Christian families.

Impressions: For reference I have a 9- and 13-year-old son. This devotional was a little simple for them, but we expanded on the ideas as we read these together. Sometimes the simple devotions spark enlightening conversations. I also found that my oldest son was able to relate his experiences well with my younger son because the ideas were basic. Reading God's word together as a family is so important and I would recommend this devotional for elementary families. The layout is organized and easy to read. There are fun facts added to draw out the concepts or ideas more. I like that this devotional covers the whole Bible painting a big picture view. This allows conversation on the reliability and truth of God's word.

My kids enjoyed reading through these devotionals together as a family. The illustrations are colorful and engaging. The print was easy to read and the content kept the kids attention. I appreciated the discussion questions. I will recommend this book to families in my congregation.

I think this is a great educational tool for anyone new to Catholicism or Christianity. Loved the glossary at the end with all the definitions!

Perfect

I think this is a perfect devotional for children. The passages are a perfect length for children and include questions along the way to aid in discussion. Each story also has a Talking to God section that helps guide prayer. It also includes a Did You Know section that has a fun fact connected to the story. Each page is visually appealing, and the font is easy to read.

The suggested ages are 6 - 10, with the grade levels being Kindergarten - 3rd. However, with some of the vocabulary that is used, I feel the devotional is better suited for ages 7 - 11 and grade levels as mid to late 1st grade - 3rd.

I’ve been a fan of Our Daily Bread for years. First in reading that little small paper book and now I enjoy listening as well. Many times i do both. I feel I know the writers and their voices. So, I was excited to read ODB for children.
The short devotionals are written for kids, ages 6 to 10. There are 90 devotions, from God in creation, to Old Testament prophecies, the coming Savior and the birth of God’s Son. Included are lovely kid friendly illustrations, prayer prompts, easy-to-understand Scripture verses, and fun facts, all designed to help kids see Jesus in God's big plan for the world and His people.

Today my children are grown but I can see how reading these simple devotions will spark curious and thoughtful conversations.

I recommend this as an excellent tool to help in reading God's word together as a family.

A wonderful devotional for children. Each devotional is an appropriate length with a focused theme or story that is easy to read with good illustrations. The devotionals include a "Did You Know" section with fun/interesting facts and a "Talk To God" section to help guide in prayers.

I highly recommend this book It is as an excellent resource to help with reading God's word together with your family or grade school class.
