Description
Sometimes the road home isn't on a map.
After a painful breakup and a stalled career, journalist Kaiah Ross sets out on a reporting road trip down the East Coast, hoping the miles will help her find her way again. But when car trouble strands her in the postcard-perfect town of Coral Cove, she's forced to stop running--and unexpectedly finds herself drawn into a life that feels like something out of a dream.
Reid Turner has spent years putting others first--his career as a firefighter, his spirited young daughter, Piper, and the small town he's always called home. The last thing he's looking for is a relationship. But from the moment Kaiah arrives, her kindness, warmth, and quiet strength stir something in him he thought was long buried.
When Kaiah agrees to help promote the town's annual "Light the Dark" Festival--a celebration meant to save Coral Cove's historic lighthouse--what begins as a simple arrangement quickly turns into something more. Late nights of planning under string lights, shared laughter over coffee, and quiet, heartfelt moments with Piper begin to weave Kaiah into the fabric of Reid's life . . . and into his heart.
But just as love begins to blossom, Kaiah is faced with an offer that could relaunch her career and take her far from Coral Cove. Now, she's forced to choose between the life she thought she wanted and the unexpected love that's given her a glimpse of home.
The Lighthouse at the Cove by bestselling novelist Amy Clipston is a tender, romantic escape to a coastal town where hearts heal, hope shines, and love finds a way--right when you least expect it. The happily-ever-after is guaranteed! This book delivers all the emotions and butterflies, leaving out the explicit scenes. Kaiah Ross, a journalist, embarks on a road trip aimed at jumpstarting her writing career when her car suddenly overheats, steam billowing from the engine. She barely makes it to the next town, where she discovers a mechanic. Unfortunately, she learns that it will take two weeks for the necessary parts to arrive, forcing her to cancel her plans. This unexpected delay leads her to the enchanting town of Coral Cove, where she begins to appreciate the charm of small-town life.
On her first day in Coral Cove, Kaiah meets Reid Turner, a firefighter, while ordering coffee. Their drink orders get mixed up, and she ends up asking for his advice on accommodation. Reid offers her a fantastic deal on the apartment above his garage. Despite being a single dad raising his six-year-old daughter after the tragic loss of his wife, Reid feels an unexpected attraction to Kaiah’s warmth and friendliness. His priorities have been solely focused on being a good parent, with assistance from his parents and twin sister, leaving little room for dating.
Kaiah agrees to work on the committee that is promoting the town’s annual “Light the Dark” Festival with a goal of raising enough money to repair the local elementary school damaged by a fire, and repair Coral Cove’s historic lighthouse so it can light up again.
As Kaiah is immersed into the close community of Coral Cove, making new friends and feeling like she is making a difference, she questions whether the spark she is beginning to feel when around Reid is reciprocated. Just as Kaiah is beginning to think that Coral Cove could be her home, she receives the job offer of her dreams. Acceptance would necessitate her moving to a big city.
This is a charming story with a cast of relatable and loving characters. It’s one that I found hard to put down as it got into my heart from the beginning. A book by Amy Clipston always proves to be a heartwarming, delightful experience.

I just finished a good book that is available later this year. The Lighthouse at the Cove by Amy Clipston was a winner for me.
I was so happy to finally be approved for this book and I wasn't one bit disappointed! I adored this novel.
Made me feel right at home withe Reid, Piper and Kayiah.
I loooooove lighthouses! It's the honest reason I wanted this book. I wanted to know the story behind it. I really wished people would take better care and preserve them. They have history too.
I simply couldn't putting beautiful story of 2nd chances down. They are my favorite because they do offer hope and more importantly love.
Some places this story made me cry and other times snicker too. And laugh out loud.
The description made me feel like I was a part of Reids community. I really enjoyed being there.
I hated to see it end. Maybe I shouldn't read so fast but I just can't help myself sometimes. I love coastal towns. Maybe it's because I live in one.
This was a great story. And yes at times heartbreaking. I love that this shows that our characters are human and they're not always perfect.
Becks Reid's sister is a wonderful person. Being twins must be awesome
5 stars for a great beach or anytime story. A job well done for drawing me in immediately.
My thanks for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.
“Thank you for being my lighthouse.”
This book follows Kaiah, a freelance travel journalist who gets stranded in Coral Cove after her car breaks down, and Reid, a single dad who’s lived in Coral Cove forever. When the garage informs her that her car will take weeks to be repaired, she agrees to stay and help with the annual fundraising festival. I loved everything about this book. It had the perfect mix of romance and community spirit. All of the characters, especially 6 year-old Piper, were loveable from the start. I loved the small-town coziness, the development of the main characters and the ending. A great light-hearted romance read.

The Lighthouse at the Cove,by Amy Clipston, opens with Kaiah Ross traveling through coastal North Carolina. She is a travel journalist documenting great spots for her readers to visit. Her car suddenly indicates that all is not well. As Kaiah slowly drives into Coral Cove looking for a car repair shop, she has no idea what she will encounter!
Kaiah’s first thought is that this town looks like one out of a storybook. After she gets her car set up for repair, she meets Reid Turner, her uber driver, and she cannot turn her eyes away. This handsome man has lived in Coral Cove his entire life and is also a full-time firefighter. Kaiah knows she will not be able o forget this man anytime soon. Kaiah simply describes him as Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome, TDH for short!
Unfortunately or maybe not, Kaiah has a lengthy stay in town until her car is repaired. When Kaiah volunteers to help prepare for the town’s annual festival, she and Reid end up spending a lot of time together. Before you know it, it seems as if something may be going on between these two!
When Kaiah’s car is finally repaired, she must make a tough decision. Will she move ahead with opportunities to further her writing career or stay in Coral Cove with this man she has come to love? It is fun to see the ending of this tale!

Loved this story about Kaiah , who after a tough break up being a journalist she is working "Hidden Gems" down the east coast to South Carolina. Her car decides to stop running in Coral COve, a small beach town. She sees Reid in the coffee shop when he grabs her drink cup. Later after they can't fix her car in one day. .
They call her an Uber and the driver is Reid. He is a generous person. All of the Inns are booked so he offers her to stay in his garage apartment.. That same day she meets his daughter Piper, his twin sister Becca and her daughter Astrid. Both Reid and Piper get attached to Kaiah. While she is in town being a journalist she helps them with their annual festival that the town has to raise money to rebuild a section of the school and restore the Coral Cove LIghthouse. See how that turns out and if she stays in town or goes after a job that has been offered to her that will put her closer to her dream job. A GREAT READ.

THE LIGHTHOUSE AT THE COVE by AMY CLIPSTON is an enjoyable romance novel with delightful characters, that takes place in the friendly little seaside town of Coral Cove, where most of the inhabitants’ families have lived for generations.
When freelance journalist for The Traveller, Kaiah Ross’s fifteen year old SUV breaks down at Coral Cove on her way to write an article on a town five hours away, she is fascinated by the lighthouse, the family vibe in the town, and most especially by a tall dark and handsome firefighter, widower Reid Turner, and his adorable six year old daughter, Piper, with whom Kaiah bonds quickly, having also lost her mother as a child…….
While waiting for her car to be repaired, Kaiah becomes involved with a fund raiser which leads to two job offers, either of which could make a huge difference to her career.
She has decisions to make………
The lighthouse plays a pivotal part in the story………

She is back again with another second chance romance in a small town. I enjoyed how Amy developed characters that we can see who they are. It was emotional rollercoaster through their lives. On the another, Kaiah finally realized that big dreams and money are not important when come to your family. She is too true. I also discovered that her one of dream is belonging to good family. She desires to belong to a family in her heart.Lasty ,Reid was afraid to give heart to some one new because his heart belongs to his late wife and Piper is equally important as well. Kaiah's driven, kindness, and joy of what she do broke Reid 's heart in pieces more time spend with her. It makes very happy ending. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I loved this sweet, clean romance from Amy Clipston.
(I especially love reading stories based in North Carolina!)
Kaiah is a travel writer who finds herself stranded in a small beach town called Coral Cove. She seems to get rescued over and over again by her knight in shining armor, Reid.
This was a feel good book that brought me to tears a couple of times and made me smile a hundred more.
This is a sweet read of how a small costal town pulls together to support its community needs.
A lighthouse literally lights the way for not only the community, but also an outsider who is looking for home.
The characters are well developed. I especially liked Pipper!
A mix of romance enhances the wonderful story.

Kaiah Ross is a reporter who goes on a road trip down the east coast to write an article, her car strands her in Coral cove. she agrees to help with the town festival. will she stay?
Thank you, NetGallery, and the author for giving me the opportunity to read this as an ARC Read.
First-time reader of Amy Clipston, but something about this cover caught my attention. I'm so glad it did because I was hooked on the first page.
What starts with Kaiah, who is a freelance writer, is driving to her next job in South Carolin.. but her car has other ideas and overheats, which leads her off the highway to a place called Coral Cove.
The lighthouse is the first thing Kaiah sees. Straight away, it reminds her of her mother and her childhood she shared with her before her mum passed away.
Fast forward a little bit. Kaiah is in a coffee shop where she notices a tall, dark, handsome guy who will be referred to as Mr.TDH from Kaiah and her sister throughout this story.
After finding out her car part is coming from untied state's her whole plans have changed, she ends up staying in the apartment Mr. TDH near his house.
While Kaiah is waiting for her car parts to arrive she takes the opportunity to help the small town out with their yearly festival to help re build part of the school the burnt down and help bring the lighthouse back to life. Kaiah does this with freelance links and advertising platforms outside the small town, alongside coming up with some fantastic ideas to do with the festival.
Fast forward, and you will be on a beautiful journey with Kaiah and Reid ( Mr.TDH) and his draughter Piper as their relationship grows. Everyone in Coral Cove loves Kaiah.

Amy Clipston delivers a heartfelt, small-town story that feels like a warm embrace in *The Lighthouse at the Cove*. This book is filled with themes of second chances, family, and the healing power of community, all woven together in her signature uplifting style.
The setting itself is enchanting—quiet coastal charm, a lighthouse steeped in history, and a town full of characters who feel instantly familiar. The emotional pull of the story comes through the relationships: navigating love, faith, and the hard lessons of forgiveness. The pacing is steady and keeps you turning the pages, while the romance blooms gently and authentically.
What I loved most was how Clipston captures resilience and hope in the face of heartache. It’s one of those reads that leaves you smiling, while also tugging on your emotions in just the right way.
If you’re a fan of clean, inspirational romance with a strong sense of place and community, this one belongs on your TBR.

The Lighthouse at the Cove by Amy Clipston was the first book I’ve read by this author even though I understand there is a previous book set in the idyllic Coral Cove. Because this is a standalone I had no problem having not read the first book. This is a charming, small town, clean romance between Reid and Kaiah who are two brokenhearted main characters. But it was Piper who stole the show as far as I’m concerned. Little people tend to do that! But it wasn’t just a romance because there are some very interesting secondary characters as well. It read like a Hallmark movie which is a compliment not a criticism. Sometimes a “feel good” clean romance is what we all need to remind ourselves just how blessed we all are. This book did that for me and I’m grateful to NetGalley to have been given the opportunity to read an advance copy of it.
Simba loves this book, and says it is the perfect four paw book read...will be out just in time for that after Christmas season when Winter and cold are no longer fun and you begin longing for summer.
Amy Clipston gives readers a cozy beach town where two wounded hearts (Kaiah and Reid) have an unexpected first encounter in a coffee shop. What happens from there will delight readers as they join together to help a discouraged town with their Light the Dark Festival. They will find healing and find that home truly is where the heart is. This story is that perfect read for us to remember what is truly important in life.

When Kaiah finds herself unexpectedly stranded in Coral Cove, she doesn't expect to end up getting involved in rebuilding part of a school and restoring a lighthouse. Kaiah also doesn't expect to find a ready made family to love as her own. Reid and Piper change the direction of her life in a big way. The lighthouse becomes a symbol of hope in the community. “The Lighthouse at the Cove” by Amy Clipston is a sweet story that takes a major vehicle breakdown and turns it into a happily ever after. Author Amy Clipston writes such an easy to read story in this small town book. Kaiah is pretty fresh off of a breakup with the stealing away of a loved pet, and she is traveling to her next job assignment as a freelance journalist. Over five hours from her destination, her check engine light is on and steam is coming from her engine. She spies a sign for Coral Cove and hopes to find an auto shop there. The news isn’t good, so she heads to a local coffee shop where she sees Reid. Reid is a widowed father to a little girl, a local firefighter, and a historical society tour guide. These two meet due to a wrong coffee order, and Reid is compelled to help Ky when she finds out her vehicle repairs will take a while. The story follows Ky along on her time spent in Coral Cove. I will give it away, that there is indeed a happily ever after of some kind in this book. :)
I really enjoyed this book. As I stated before, this book is so easy to read. The conversations flow well. The characters are normal people with normal life experiences that have shaped them: grief, loss, hard family dynamics, daily struggles, etc. I feel that Amy Clipston did a great job keeping this story feeling natural and not forced. It is completely clean and free of implications of anything not clean. I really feel like this story had just the right amount of conflict without too much of it. The plot did not drag, and kept me engaged well. Being from a Christian publisher, I will point out that really the only thing that jumped out at me as being remotely faith related was that Reid implies he prayed about the weather for the festival. He never comes out and says he did. Now, if you do not like faith elements in your books, this should be an excellent point. If you prefer faith in your books, and I would prefer it but can enjoy a book without it, then this book will disappoint you in that small way. I think the story could only have been made stronger and better if it included more faith elements. But, this is still a wonderful book that I would read again and would share with others.

the covers of these books lend so much to the feelings of the book as a whole. alot of cover ive noticed nowadays are almost character or computer based. so when these covers almost of old are done i really like that. and when its books that feature these kind of themes it just seems to fit even more to how your meant to be feeling.
this book was such a gorgeous read. i just felt uplifted through it all. like i wanted to be part of this community. i wanted this support and friendship as my own.
this is such a charming town one you'd be really glad like our lead character to break down in.the whole setting came to life in how Amy describes the setting shes made for us. you cant help but feel the senses all come to life in sights, sounds and smells there might be there. those kind of places we all dream of living our lives in. and you wonder if some lucky people get to have that in real life.
Kaya also comes to this small town from one of the biggest. so it fun to see how she handles it. what she thinks might be herself landing totally out of her comforts she soon becomes embedded and falls in love with this place too. it could have come at the best and right time.
i love how not only did she feel at home here but also they used her help too, they showed she was needed.
Kaya is a travel journalist in this book. so being stuck in town might not have been her first choice! and then when she is told her car will take longer to fix she knows she needs to make the best of it.
Reid is a single dad to his little girl. hes also a firefighter. hes a good man, and meeting Kaya, seeing her predicament he offers to lend her lodging for the time she needs to be there. he could use her help thought too. because there town needs saving in more ways than one at the moment. not least the festival. its so vital this year because their lighthouse needs some precious TLC. Kaya might have just the knack for knowing what they need to be doing to get this thing properly off the ground.
they of course,we all can see from the start, are made for each other. i love their little moments that just seem to make them fit together. you can see it, you can feel it, these two are just thing, souls matching.
there was so much warmth in this book. i really enjoyed it.

This was a sweet story that reminds me of a Hallmark movie. This story kept me turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. A very well written story that I would highly recommend. I was given a complementary copy of this book and the opinions are my own.
A sweet love story. Charming and delightful contents: young child, cat, dog, ex-boyfriend, twins, small town, and a lighthouse. It all added up to several hours of enjoyable reading. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
The Lighthouse at the Cove by Amy Clipston is a beautifully written small town romance that delivers warmth, heart, and quiet emotional depth.
What makes it so enjoyable is how real the characters feel….. Kaiah’s search for renewal and Reid’s gentle strength make their love story feel both grounded and deeply moving.
The coastal setting is another thing I loved, it captured such detail that you can almost hear the waves and see the glow of the lighthouse at dusk.
The “Light the Dark” festival adds a lovely metaphor about finding hope again after loss, tying the themes together in a satisfying way.
The story’s pace allows the relationship to build naturally, which makes every emotional beat feel earned. It’s a book that lingers long after the last page….. a tender, hopeful romance about finding light when you least expect it.

Thank you NetGalleynfor this heartwarming ARC for my honest review. It’s my first book by Amy Clipston and I hope it’s not my last. I really loved this story of a free lance writer, Kaiah, on her way to an assignment when her car decides to act a fool and leaves her stranded in Coral Cove for no telling how long. While stuck there, she gets involved with the people in the town and helps them organize and raise money to repair the school that was damaged by a fire. As Kaiah and Reid work together for the upcoming festival, they develop deep feelings for each other but they both don’t want to admit them. It was a very sweet and oh so heartwarming to watch their relationship develop and witness their journey. The questions are will Kaiah be able to settle in a small town and can Reid heal her broken heart? On top of that, will he be able to give his heart to her after the loss of his wife which left him a single father to Precious Piper. Yes it’s a lot to overcome for them both but oh my goodness it’s a true Hallmark movie in the making. I thoroughly enjoyed this clean heartwarming small town book and I think you will too if this is your kind of story.
Kaiah Ross who lives in New York is a free lance writer, who was on her way, traveling the eastern coast, hoping after her boyfriend broke uo with her, and took their dog with him, she was hoping this trip would help her find her way, Little did she know that when her car overheated, life was about to change. She managed to drive the car to the next small town, which is Coral Cove. When she found a mechanic, he told her he oculd fix it, but he had to order parts. It would take at least two weeks for the parts to arrive. She decided while she was there she would learn about the town, the people,, and she takes us along on her journey.
The love, treasures, in this small town, will make you feel like you are settiling into a most welcoming community. Reading this story, brought me comfort and took me out of the chaos that is happening in life now. I have read other books by Amy Clipston, and this was another inspiring story that settled in my heart and soul.
I received an ARC from Thomas Nelson through NetGalley. Hope you choose this story when you are looking for something to read. It is inspiring, and flows so freely.
First book by Amy Clipston, and it was one of the most heartfelt romances I have read lately. There were touches and kisses, but nothing more, and that was what had kept me reading into the night to finish. I loved all the characters but the ex. (lol) George was the best doggie ever.
Journaist gets stranded in a lighthouse town that just draws her in and makes her think of her mother before she passed; it was really amazing writing all the way around, with the loss and trauma from both main characters.
A firefighter single dad helps a damsel in distress, but she saves him and his town in the long run, and they both fall in love. They had the most amazing connection, even from the first chapter meeting; this book had me in its hooks.
A must-read for any romantic. Thank you, Netgalley, for the ARC of this book. I will definitely be reading more of her work and this book again.
The Lighthouse at the Cove by Amy Clipston is such a wonderful literary experience that I know many will enjoy as much as I did. Published by Thomas Nelson Fiction, this contemporary romance is the perfect way to kick off your holiday reading season. I loved the warm, cozy vibes with this novel. I read it over the Thanksgiving holiday and found it harder and harder to tear myself away. The characters are fabulous, and the precocious little Piper and her “adorable bluntness” had me charmed from the moment she was introduced. The slow burn between the hot fireman and traveling reporter was entertaining and heartfelt, and the first time Kaiah and Reid explore the lighthouse together is when I lost my own heart. Seeing a budding relationship with mutual attraction and respect will never get old to me.
The whole premise is intriguing, with the festival revival being a genius idea, and oh my gosh, do I wish this was something real that I could attend! I loved hearing about all the planning and seeing the community come together and work for a tremendous goal that benefits many.
I would love to see this turned into a Hallmark movie! There are sweet moments, but there are also some pretty intense scenes full of sentiment that had me holding my breath. The rollercoaster of emotions is real! I know if you pick up this novel, you will not be disappointed. With the small-town charm, characters that feel real, and an overall feeling of hope for second chances, this clean romance shows the magic of new beginnings and the power of community.
A charming, feel‑good read that leaves you smiling and a little lighter at the end.
Amy Clipston’s The Lighthouse at the Cove is a beautifully written story that captures the essence of hope, healing, and the quiet magic of small‑town life. The seaside setting of Coral Cove feels vivid and inviting. It's the kind of place you want to linger in, with its lighthouse standing as a gentle symbol of guidance and renewal.
What makes this book shine is the depth of its characters. I loved how Clipston gives her leads layers, vulnerabilities, and strengths that feel authentic and relatable. The relationships are tenderly developed, with a natural rhythm that avoids melodrama and instead focuses on trust, growth, and the courage to open one’s heart again. I also liked supporting characters who added to the story without overshadowing the core of it. Another strength of this book was the community spirit woven throughout, which makes it feel warm and grounded.
I especially appreciated how the story takes its time. Nothing feels rushed, and you get to enjoy watching the characters grow and open up. This is the kind of book you curl up with when you want something heartwarming and clean, with a dash of inspiration. Fans of small‑town romance and faith‑tinged fiction will find a lot to love here.
A big thank you to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with an e-ARC. All opinions expressed are my own!

Kaiah's travel writing plans in are derailed when her car has major problems on the way down the coast, but Coral Cove welcomes her - other than warning her that getting parts for the old car will take weeks. And when her accommodation problems are solved by a handsome man with a delightful young daughter offering her his garage apartment, it seems things are on the way up. Better yet, as she sees more of the town, she realises they need her skills to promote their festival. But the more she gets to know Reid and Piper, the more she's torn between old dreams and new...
A delightful light read, with interesting characters (Piper in particular is really 'a character'), a beautiful setting and the joy of a town all pulling together to make things happen. I particularly appreciated the way that Kaiah, Reid and Piper all help each other through past loss - it's great. There were a couple of things that really didn't hang together for me - like the idea that a woman who's terrified of bees and wasps following bad reactions in childhood wouldn't do something basic like carry and EpiPen. However, those points were minor and overall I really enjoyed the story. 4.5 stars.

A sweet contemporary romance---for fans of charming, small-town emotional reads in 2025!
Sometimes the road home isn't on a map.

But when car trouble strands her in the postcard-perfect town of Coral Cove, she's forced to stop running--and unexpectedly finds herself drawn into a life that feels like something out of a dream.

And glorious it was. As a native New Yorker, Kaiah had never visited coastal North Carolina, but she could tell from the sparkling blue water that matched the cerulean sky that perhaps this
visit wouldn't be her last.

is a 5 - star book.
I am looking forward to reading more books by Amy Clipston.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions shared here in this review are my own.
The Lighthouse at the Cove is the first book I’ve read by Amy Clipston, and it won’t be my last! I was completely enchanted by the charming small town of Coral Cove. We’ve heard it said that things happen for a reason. When Kaiah’s car starts smoking, she definitely wasn’t thinking about that! She had no idea what the following weeks held for her and that she’d be grateful that her car broke down where it did. I’d be crying! However, Kaiah takes it a little better than I would, and she grabs a coffee while she waits to hear about her car. The coffee grabbing leads to an adorable meet-cute! It also leads her to wander the town where she’s drawn to a lighthouse. Little did she know that that lighthouse would play such an important role in her life, or that she’d be happy the mechanic’s call was bad news…she’d be waiting a few weeks for the car parts to arrive! And…things happen for a reason.
From the very start, I was captivated by this story. Everything fell into place perfectly, and Kaiah’s meet-cute might just lead to the life she’s always wanted. The cute guy from the coffee shop (Reid) becomes her Uber driver and her temporary landlord when he offers to rent her the apartment over his garage. He also happens to be a really swoony firefighter and a widower with a little girl named Piper. I adored these characters! They were like real people to me. I also loved Reid’s twin sister and her family. I loved how exuberant Kaiah was about helping Coral Cove repair the local school through helping to plan the festival. As a journalist, she used her time in the town to write articles that were so heartfelt and descriptive that they led people, who would never have visited this little town, to come to the festival in droves. All of this gave the book such a heartwarming, cozy feel. There are some heartbreaking moments which made the story more believable. Life isn’t a bed of roses, but we make it through as did the characters.
I highly recommend The Lighthouse at the Cove for its warm, small town vibe, realistic characters, and sweet romance!

I really enjoyed this story. Kaiah was on a roadtrip for work when her car breaks down and they can't fix it right away. She ends up in Reid's garage apartment and they get to know each other. He has a daughter Piper that is very sweet. She takes to Kaiah right away and keeps asking her to join the for meals, etc. Kaiah is a journalist and ends up taking on this small town to help with their festival to raise money for rebuilding the school and lighthouse. Lots of almost romance, good feelings, small town acceptance and a good family story all around.

Kaya has hit a bump in the road of life. A tough breakup puts her on a journey down the coast from Maryland to Florida. An unexpected break down leaves her stranded in Coral Cove. While waiting for repairs, Reid offers her the use of the apartment over his garage. In return Kaya agrees to write a piece about the town's annual festival. As Kaya gets more involved with not only the town but Reid's daughter, she finds herself wondering about her future. However, opportunity knocks but will Kaya answer the door? I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.

Kaiah is a freelance travel writer on her way to an assignment when her car breaks down in Coral Cove. She is stuck there until her car can be fixed and meets Mr TDH (Tall, Dark and Handsome) at a coffee shop. Sparks fly, and then she becomes involved with Reid (Mr. TDH) in planning a festival in Coral Cove. This a Hallmark movie in a book that is well written and with well developed characters. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc with no pressure for a positive review.

The Lighthouse at the Cove by Amy Clipston is a contemporary inspirational romance story. It is well written and easy to read and enjoy. Kaiah is traveling to write an article when her car breaks down near Coral Cove. Needing a ride and someplace to stay while her car is being fixed, she meets local firefighter, single dad, Reid, who is called on to help others and also has a vacant apartment. The two quickly are drawn to each other and help each other out. Kaiah is quickly drawn into a local fundraising project Reid and sister are working on. When others are ready to give up, Kaiah gets imaginative and finds a way to help them put on a very successful event.
This is such a good story. This story is a good reminder that God is in control in all aspects of our lives. The characters in the story are enjoyable, caring and helpful people. I like how Reid and his twin sister are able to feel for each other even while apart. This is a great story of second chances, not just for people, but also buildings and towns. I appreciate how the community came together to work to repair the school and the lighthouse. This is an enjoyable story to just get lost in. I enjoyed how while she was focused on helping Reid, his sister and Coral Cove, her journalism helped her as well.
I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this story; this is my honest review.

The Lighthouse at the Cove is the second book I have read written by Amy Clipston, and it will not be the last. This is book 2 in the Coral Cove series, but I read it as a standalone and didn't feel I missed anything.
Are you a fan of small-town romance or single-dad/widower romance? Then this is the book for you. Kaiah is a journalist. Working on a travel piece when her car breaks down in the small town of Coral Cove. Facing a big bill to get her car fixed and a low bank account balance, this delay couldn’t come at a worse time. In steps Reid, firefighter, ride-share driver, picks up Kaiah to take her to a hotel. But there seems to be none in her budget. Reid offers up his guest apartment for her to use while she waits. Reid’s daughter, Piper, instantly falls in love with her. I loved watching the romance between Reid and Kaiah. This was the perfect clean read with hallmark vibes.
The character development was great. Reid is working through the grief of losing his wife, while also caring for his daughter. He is doing a great job and has lots of help from his family. Kaiah is trying to navigate the pain from her past relationship.
The romance was sweet and perfect with only kisses.

THE LIGHTHOUSE AT THE COVE is a heart tugging story filled with grief, loneliness, heartbreak, and love that will hold you hostage until the very last page. Once I started this heartwarming story, it was very hard to put down! Amy Clipston isn’t afraid to write about subjects that tug at the readers hearts. Oh, as a warning to the reader, keep the tissues handy and do not read the ending in a public place unless you don’t mind crying in front of strangers! I’m so excited to continue catching up on all of Amy Clipston’s previous books.
When I hear that Amy Clipston has a new book coming out, I run to it. THE LIGHTHOUSE AT THE COVE is exactly why! Kaiah is passing through Coral Cove when her car breaks down, forcing her to stick around until it’s fixed. This is when she meets Reid who is a single dad of a six year old daughter. Reid works as a firefighter in the town. Wait until you meet Piper, Reid’s daughter. You are going to fall in love with her. This book should be the next Hallmark movie! Its just perfect! All the characters and animals are very likeable in THE LIGHTHOUSE AT THE COVE.
Amy Clipston has created a wonderful story filled with beautiful families and characters. She is so amazing at what she writes, no matter if it’s Amish or contemporary fiction. Her descriptions of each setting had me feeling as if I were right there with the Kaiah, Reid, and Piper. THE LIGHTHOUSE AT THE COVE was a quick read for me because I had a hard time putting it down once I started. I found myself cheering for Kaiah and hoping she could get Reid’s walls to come down. I love the way she never gave up on him no matter how hard he pushed her away.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Thomas Nelson through Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I was given an ARC of this book for my honest review.
From the very first page, I was hooked into the life of Kaiah and her journey to find love when she least expected it. I'm a sucker for a good, sweet, Hallmark movie and this book totally fit the bill! Small town, single dad, friends who become family, this book has it all. This would make a great movie as well!!

The Lighthouse at the Cove is the second visit to Coral Cove for the readers of Amy Clipston. Travel writer Kaiah Ross is traveling south to Edisto Beach, SC to gather information for her hidden gems series for The Traveler, an online magazine. As she nears the small town of Coral Cove, NC her not-so-new SUV Daisy throws engine warning lights and shows it is overheating. Kaiah slowly makes her way to Coral Cove Car Care to determine what is wrong only to discover the parts needed will take a while, perhaps weeks, to get.
Meanwhile, widowed father and firefighter Reid Turner keeps crossing paths with Kaiah the day she arrived and just happens to be the part time ride share driver who picks her up at the garage to try to find a place for her to stay. Both local inns are full and Kaiah’s funds are limited. Reid has an empty apartment above his garage so offers her that option. When his sweet daughter Piper and twin sister Becca meet Kaiah they both make immediate connections. And when Kaiah throws her journalistic talents behind a special project of Becca’s to help rebuild in their town the story really takes off in unexpected ways!
I very much enjoyed this book, as I have all of Ms. Clipston’s stories, and do recommend it!

The Lighthouse at the Cove
Amy Clipson
5/5 stars
This is a heartwarming love story in true Amy Clipson style. Kaiah, a journalist, finds herself stranded in Coral Cove after her car breaks down on a trip. She meets Reid Turner, a handsome firefighter, who allows her to stay in an extra apartment until her car parts arrive. What was suppose to be a quick stop turns into a group effort to save the lighthouse that makes Coral Cove so special.
I really enjoyed this book! I didn’t realize it is the second book in a series so it can definitely be read as a standalone! I loved how Kaiah and Reid supported each other and came together to support a great cause. I definitely recommend this book if you are looking for a quick, light love story!
Thank you Amy Clipson, Netgalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

ARC/ ALC REVIEW:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Traveling this Christmas???? The Lighthouse at the Cove by Amy Clipston will make any long drive fly by in the blink of an eye, or an ideal relaxing read once you reach your destination.
Car trouble is always bad news, but it is even worse for a down-on-her-luck, (free-lance) travel journalist. While making her way from Maryland to Florida, Kaya Ross, finds herself stranded for the unforeseen future. Thankfully, there is a silver lining; her car broke down in a picturesque, coastal town. Unable to write her original story, she decides to feature Coral Cove and its historical lighthouse. After the story becomes an instant success, she teams up with locals (Reid and Piper Turner) to raise funds for the community. Will Kaya permanently settle into the town that stole her heart, or will her dreams for the future force her to move on?
2025 will forever be remembered as the year I discovered Amy Clipston!!! In addition to connecting with her writing style, I love that she incorporates her faith into every book she writes. She does so by planting seeds of hope in her characters, plot points, and unique voice. It is no coincidence that I have read three of her books in the span of mere months.
Needless to say, I highly recommend picking up a copy of this book (in any format)!!!
Be sure to read the Lighthouse on the Cove for:
-Clean Romance
-MMC Firefighter/ Uber Driver
-FMC Travel Journalist
-Single Parent
-Community Festival
Special thanks to Netgalley, Thomas Nelson Fiction, Zondervan Fiction Audio, and Amy Clipston for allowing me to both listen and read this book in exchange for my honest review.
This was such a beautiful, heartwarming story. From the very first chapters, Amy Clipston pulled me into a gentle, hope-filled journey that felt like a warm hug. The setting, the characters, and the themes of healing, faith, and second chances were all handled so tenderly, and I absolutely loved every moment of it.
I’m so thankful to have received an ARC copy from the publisher and NetGalley, and this story completely exceeded my expectations. It’s the kind of book that leaves you feeling comforted and encouraged long after you turn the last page.
I was also gifted the audiobook, and I have to say—the narrator did a wonderful job bringing this story to life. Her voice captured the emotion and heart of the characters beautifully and made the listening experience even more special.
If you love uplifting, cozy reads with depth and heart, this one is not to be missed.
I've been reading Amy Clipston books for years starting with her Amish romances and now her contemporary ones. I've got to say that I think this is my favorite of hers from the past few years! I loved the small town romance and how Kaiah fell in love with Coral Cove and the lighthouse there when her car broke down. Reid is a local fireman, widower and dad to Piper. It was so sweet to watch them come together and figure out what to do with their lives. I highly recommend The Lighthouse at the Cove if you love clean romances that tug on your heartstrings. Too bad Coral Cove isn't a real place because I'd totally want to visit!
Melissa Moran did a wonderful job narrating.
Many thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review. All opinions are my own.

Kaiah Ross is a freelance journalist looking for her big break. On a mission to report on hidden gems along the East Coast she finds herself stranded in the town of Coral Cove due to car trouble. What she initially hopes will be a pit stop becomes so much more when she’s told the parts for her car won’t arrive in a timely fashion.
Reid Turner has lived in the town of Coral Cove all his life and takes his many roles seriously—father, firefighter, town advocate, volunteer, etc. He does everything he can to make Coral Cove a great place for his daughter, Piper, to grow up in. He’s content with his life, but from the moment he meets Kaiah something about her draws him in. He surprises himself as much as everyone else when he offers Kaiah a place to stay when she realizes she’ll be in town longer than she had hoped.
Kaiah decides to help the town with their fundraiser and promotes the “Light the Dark” Festival in her articles by featuring Coral Cove as a hidden gem with her editor’s permission. She quickly becomes a part of the community and isn’t sure how she will be able to say goodbye to Reid and Piper when the time comes.
