Description
The multimillion-copy and New York Times bestseller B. A. Paris returns with a triumphant, unsettling next suspense novel, When I Kill You.
Who is watching Nell Masters?
Nell Masters is certain someone is following her. The hairs on the back of her neck rise when she travels to and from work, there are silent calls to her office, and a huge bouquet of flowers arrives without a card. And Nell has a reason to be looking over her shoulder, because she has a secret that she’s hiding from everyone in her life, including her new partner, Alex. But Alex also has secrets of his own.
Fourteen years earlier, when Nell went by the name Elle Nugent, she witnessed a student, Bryony Sanders, getting into a stranger’s car. When Bryony was found murdered, Elle became obsessed with finding the person responsible. She was convinced she knew who it was and her fixation with Brett Parker, the man she accused, led her down a dangerous path . . .
Now, Nell tries to convince herself that this unnerving feeling of being watched is all in her mind. Has someone from her past discovered her new identity? Has the stalker become the stalked? Or is there something even more deadly at play?

A chilling psychological thriller that examines guilt, revenge, and the fragility of trust. Paris keeps the tension high from start to finish. This is a dark, compulsively readable story with a shocking payoff.

When I Kill You by B.A. Paris had me questioning everyone including the narrator. Elle (or Nell, depending on which timeline we’re in) is one of those characters who seems to be holding it together until you realize… she’s not. She’s got secrets stacked higher than the Eiffel Tower, and there’s this deliciously creepy undercurrent that seeps through every chapter. Between the past and present timelines, Paris gives us a full-bodied thriller that feels both intimate and claustrophobic. Prepare to feel like someone’s breathing just over your shoulder while you read.
What really hooked me was the way the stalking and paranoia weren’t just plot devices, they seeped into every chapter. The tension built so subtly that by the midpoint, I found myself glancing at shadows and questioning every new text message. Add in those inserts from the stalker’s profile and it was absolutely unhinged in the best possible way. They added that extra layer of menace and obsession that I live for in a psychological thriller.
Nobody in this story is truly reliable, and that’s exactly what made it so fun. Every character felt like a potential threat. Between the red herrings, the dual timelines, and that sense of “someone’s watching,” this one had me flipping pages like I was running from danger myself. It’s twisted, paranoid, and unsettling which is exactly how I like my thrillers.

I really have loved all of B.A’s books. She did not disappoint once again. When I kill you kept me guessing until the very end. One of my favorite things about a book is when my predictions are wrong!! A few of mine were wrong & I enjoyed this book until the very end.
Dual timelines between past and present were very interesting.. It was fun to learn about Nell/ Elle’s past life and how it changes her everyday life in the present. I loved the journal entries as well from her stalker / killer. It kept you guessing until the very end and added extra suspense as well.
As many twists and turns as this book had I truly enjoyed it and it kept my attention throughout. I was happy about the ending. Thank you Net Galley for the Arc & thank you B.A Paris for another great thriller!

I loved When I Kill You! I’ve read all of B.A. Paris’s books, and this one might be my favorite yet. From the very first chapter, I was hooked — the tension, the twists, the uneasy feeling that something isn’t quite right. Paris is a master at building psychological suspense, and this story had me racing through pages long past bedtime.
The characters felt sharp and real, the pacing was relentless, and that ending — wow. Just when I thought I had it figured out, Paris pulled the rug out from under me again. If you enjoy her signature mix of emotional intensity and perfectly timed reveals, you won’t be disappointed.
Another brilliant, chilling page-turner from one of my favorite authors!

I love the way B.A. Paris writes! She instantly captures your attention and wants you to keep on reading until the very end. I did not see the ending coming but was glad that she did explain in detail how the ending came about. Lots of great characters in this novel. Suspense at its finest!
