I have a special family quilt, so I was interested when I read the title and description. This is a beautiful book that adult quilters will find especially enjoyable as will children. I really reading about the family history of their quilt and how it continued to pass down through the generations.

As a quilter, knitter, crocheter, (Also weaver and spinner), I thought this book was very sweet and well done.
The illustrations were beautiful and lovely, this would be a great gift for a little kid (maybe with a crafting kit!)

The Quilt of Our Memories is about a family who has passed a quilt down through the female members, adding squares as they go. What will happen when they get to a generation that only has a male? I love the idea of continuing traditions as families change. The artwork in the book is very unique and soft. My kids enjoyed this story as we only have boys in our immediate family.

Thanks to Cuento de Luz and NetGalley for an eARC of this book for an honest review.

This book was so cute, and I loved the story behind it! The illustrations were beautiful and very brightly colored, so they made sure to capture my attention. I love that the author incorporated quilting into a children's book because you don't see that often. My mom is a big quilter, so im sure she will purchase this for her great nephews once they are older!

Thank you to Netgalley, Desirée Acevedo, and Publisher Spotlight for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest feedback.

Throughout generations, the women of Mateo's family have woven a piece of themselves into the family quilt: something meaningful, something to remember them by. Now Mateo tells his daughter, Ana, the story behind each square. He vows to continue the tradition.

This was a cute book about the power of family and creative storytelling.

"I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."
I adored this picture book. I love that it embraced family heritage and tradition, and passing on a skill like quilting that is undervalued in today's society. This tradition had been handed down through the women in a family until this only child that was a boy. In today's world it is much more common to have smaller families and there is, or should be less focus on traditional gender roles. So it was really sweet to see the tradition continue through the son onto his daughter in this picture book.
I highly recoomend. It was well written and told a sweet story with good illustrations.

Oh my goodness! This book is perfection. In a time of such chaos, the warmth of a quilt stitched by hand, holding all of the family's memories is really what it's all about. I adore this story and the beautiful artwork.

This book is heartwarming and I love the family tradition that lives on through generations. I liked that it showed glimpses of the women's lives and why they chose the symbol to represent them. The end was very sweet because it ended with a son as a parent not a daughter. He decided to keep the tradition going for his daughter. For some reason that made me so emotional. What a sweet book!

Loved this story of the narrator's generational family and the plot twist at the end that a dad would continue the tradition for his young child, honoring the women in his life.

I loved this book and that it connected the women of the family. I wish it had continued on through all the women, and made it a special thing. I know some family trees don’t end up having women in every generation, but this is fiction and would’ve felt more special to be women connected to women.

Other than that it was really sweet and I loved the illustration. My kids liked seeing what each family member contributed.

This is a sweet book about the women in a family. They each like different things and they put their favorite things in quilt blocks. Then all the blocks are lovingly sewn together to form a history of the family. This is a sweet story about families. As a quilter I know that quilts tell can tell stories. The art work is wonderful in this story.
