I loved reading Lari Don's 'Celtic Folk and Fairy Tales', as well as the beautiful illustrations by Elise Carmichael. My mother' mother was born in Ireland, and my mother was raised much like her mother. Somewhere in my house there is an old picture of my mother as an infant, and her mother, as well as my great grandmother.
I've been to Ireland twice, and I loved visiting there, but I never thought about the 'fairy tales' that my grandmother shared with me when I was very young, and she was, next to my grandfather who I adored, my favourite person.
This is a beautiful book for children and parents, alike, especially if your children enjoy the beautiful illustrations!

Many thanks for the opportunity to read and review Lari Don and Elise Carmichael's 'Celtic Folk and Fairy Tales'
I love anything that has to do with Celtic folklore or anything from Scotland/Ireland, so this was right up my alley. The illustrations are gorgeous and the stories are short, quick, interesting reads. Will enjoy reading this to my child because she will love the tales too. Great for anyone who loves fairy tales.
This was a lovely book!
I love Celtic folktales and stories and jumped to read this collection!
The art work is beautiful! I loved reading these stories to my kids and talking about the details throughout the stories.
I liked that the stories were short enough to keep their attention but long enough to tell a real and full tale.
All my kids (ranging in ages from 5 to 12) enjoyed listening to these stories and looking at the pictures!
We will be reading and re-reading this for years in our home! I’m excited for these stories to become staples in my home!

Thank you NetGalley, Publisher Spotlight and Lari Don for the eARC!
Fun little book on Celtic folklore. The book was intended for children, but I enjoyed it immensely. I have always been one who likes to read up on urban legends, ghost stories, and folklore from different ethnicities. This book was an absolute delight. The stories are unique and aren't too scary. Most of them teaches a life message which can lead to discussion between parents and their children. I did think that one of the artworks for the last story in the book may be slightly scary for kids, but in overall the art is just as amazing as the writing.
