This is a detailed and well-written guide for best fertility practices. The information was clearly laid out and explained in an easy to understand format. This guide would be very helpful for someone new to understanding fertility.

The Lucky Egg was an extremely informative read. As a woman who has started assisted reproductive support, I wish I had had this book in the beginning of my fertility journey. Dr. Lucky Sekhon explains things in such an easy to understand way while still instilling hope, which many medical professionals are not able to do. I really appreciated the breakdown of terminology and explanations that gave information, guidance, and hopefulness. I also liked the play on "egg" for the chapter titles, which I felt was a cute touch on a subject that can naturally feel stressful. This book validated some of the information I've learned during my fertility journey while also teaching me new information. I also like how the author included guidelines on what to look for and avoid in terms of fertility doctors/clinics. I would definitely recommend this book to others.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Lucky Egg by Dr. Lucky Sekhon is an absolute must-read for any woman who is just beginning to consider trying to conceive or has already started the journey. I truly believe this book will become a staple resource for fertility, standing the test of time.
While it’s easy to turn to the internet for information, it can often be overwhelming and conflicting. What sets this book apart is how comprehensively and clearly Dr. Lucky addresses all fertility questions in one place. She makes complex topics easy to understand and includes real patient examples, which really help to illustrate potential fertility challenges. The book is thoughtfully broken down, making it simple to navigate whether you're seeking specific advice or just starting to learn about your fertility.
I especially appreciated her in-depth discussion about aging and fertility — it gave me a renewed sense of hope and clarity. If I could, I’d give it 10 stars! Reading this felt like chatting with a close friend who’s also a fertility specialist — Dr. Lucky’s warm personality shines through the pages. I was so impressed that I immediately followed her on Instagram — she’s just that likable and inspiring!
This book is an invaluable resource that I will recommend to every woman on her fertility journey. Don’t hesitate — it’s a game-changer.

Honestly, such an informative, educational read. Dr. Sekhon lays out all the information simply and effectively with stories woven throughout. I wish I had this when I was younger and I will definitely be gifting copies!

This was a great informative read. The dedication page got me really choked up knowing she wrote it for her daughters. I wish I was able to read something this informative in my younger years. As someone dealing with fertility issues I’m very happy to have this resource.

Great and informative. Putting aside for next year when I plan to have a baby. Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher.

This book seems to cover everything you need to know about getting pregnant, especially if you have difficulty conceiving. The beauty of the format is that the reader can skip to the chapters that address their particular problem and skim the rest if so desired. Dr. Sekhon describes the anatomy of the reproductive tract and how everything works to achieve a successful pregnancy. If people cannot conceive, Dr. Sekhon outlines all available options, including the associated costs. She breaks down the age factor, providing statistics on why one might want to freeze eggs at a younger age for use when ready to conceive at an older age. Then, Dr. Sekhon discusses the special circumstances of single-parent pregnancies and LGBTQ couples who wish to establish families with children. She presents the material in a readable, friendly manner, making this an excellent resource for anyone's bookshelf.

The Lucky Egg is an incredibly informative and compassionate guide to understanding fertility. Dr. Lucky Sekhon does a wonderful job balancing personal anecdotes with clear, evidence based science, making even complex terms and processes easy to understand. I especially appreciated how hopeful and supportive her tone is throughout, which makes such a sensitive subject feel approachable. This is truly a valuable resource for anyone navigating fertility or just beginning to learn about reproductive health. Highly recommended!
