Description

Career, relationships, health, happiness, sport, creativity – you name it – they can all be enhanced by the practice of meditation. It has the power to improve every aspect of our lives. Although there has recently been a lot of coverage of meditation, most people still see it narrowly as being a relaxation technique, or a spiritual exercise. It can be both these things, but it is also so much more. Meditation for Life is an attempt to explain the 'more'.

Advance Praise

Justyn Comer's Meditation for Life is the best introduction I have come across to a practice that can profoundly improve one's life personally and professionally. As a psychiatrist, this book will be an invaluable resource to my patients, friends, and colleagues.
J. Andrew Huchingson MD. Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist, Assistant Clinical Professor. Medical University of South Carolina

Comer writes with a dry, self-deprecating wit that disguises his great spiritual wisdom; this is a funny book that only later did I realize was deeply serious. Avoiding completely the mumbo jumbo language that made me skeptical of meditation, Comer introduces us to a simple, effective, and worthwhile practice that delivers immediate, obvious results. I don't usually like people getting in my head, but reading this book, I'm happy to make an exception.
M.A.Wallace, Writer, New York City

This is a thorough, brilliant, and compelling introduction to the practice of meditation. Each chapter examines a critical facet of the practice opening the reader to its powerful benefits. I found, after completing each chapter, I simply could not wait to begin and try it that day. It is as if Mr. Comer was reading my mind, helping me to proceed through the next step. This is a simply marvelous introduction to a whole new awareness and ignites a strong desire to meditate daily, making it a joy and giving the reader competence and confidence.

I really like how the author described the subject of meditation from a very practical point of view. This is the first book I’ve read on the subject and I enjoyed it very much.

The structure of the book also makes sense since the author explained what meditation is, why it is important, and how to do it.
