⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The beach read of the summer!

When 19-year-old Meg Briggs wakes up after having a crazy party with her friends, she finds a girl in the pool.

Dead.

Who is this girl?

How did she end up in the pool?

Was she even at the party?

Even more strange is when they pull her out of the water, Meg realizes the girl looks very familiar. As a matter of fact, she looks just like her.

Like an identical twin.

But Meg has no twin, at least none that she knows of, and no one at the party knows this girl or can say where she is from.

What is Meg’s mom hiding from her?

FBI profiler Eva Rae Thomas is caught in distress at home with her children and between the two men in her life when she is asked to help out on the case.

Who killed Meg’s identical twin and why? And where did she come from?

As Eva Rae Thomas digs deeper into the story, she can barely believe the revealed secrets, secrets so cruel that someone is ready to go to great lengths to keep them hidden.

This book is one of the most awesome thrillers, I have ever read. I must say it had such, mind-turning twists of any book ever. I didn't want to put it down. Willow Rose is one of the best authors ever. I have loved all of her books but this was the best ever. I received this ARC, in exchange for an honest review. And believe me, you need to read this book.

Wow, just wow! I read "You Better Run" in one sitting. Is one twin always bad and one twin always good? Hmm, maybe? As usual Willow Rose has quite the twists and turns in this book, with a very satisfying ending. I thought that I knew what was going on a few times, but in the end I didn't get how all of the situations came together. If this review gets sent to Amazon, I received an advance copy of "You Better Run" in exchange for my honest review.

Willow Rose has pulled another great book out of the bag with this edge-of-your-seat thriller.

Meg Kellan stared at herself lying dead by the side of the pool. Meg had been coerced into having a party whilst her mother was out of town, when, the following morning, her boyfriend Trevor dove into the pool to retrieve the body of a girl from the bottom, Meg was nonplussed, the girl was identical to her, did she have a twin ? she didn't think so, who was this girl ?

FBI profiler Eva Rae Thomas was brought in by Cocoa Beach PD to help solve the case.

Eva Rae's life was not running smoothly, her daughter Olivia was having problems with her sexual gender, she din't want to be a "her" or a "him" she wanted to be a "them", Eva Rae didn't understand, she was trying but at the moment she didn't have time. Added to her problems at home, journalist, Alexander Huxley was shadowing her to write a book, it was obvious that he had feelings for her, much to the disgust of her ex, Matt Miller of the Cocoa Beach PD, the overload of strutting testosterone when they were together was getting to Eva Rae, she was attracted to Alex but was she over Matt ?

This story twists and turns, the suspects are many as is the body count, try as I might to guess the outcome I was totally off course, I thought that twins must be involved somehow but nothing added up, the author has uniquely woven in nail biting suspense, thrown in red herrings and a totally unexpected but satisfying ending.

Ellen White rated it ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Mother who goes away for the weekend, comes home finding police surrounding her home. That was one big shock, the next was her daughter telling her of the body in the pool. The third shock was it looked like Meg sitting in her living room.. Thus begins another roller coaster of a plot. Eva Rae brought in as consultant

Secrets then murder to cover them up. A fascinating plot, as you try to put the pieces of who and why and what did happen, nineteen years ago.

Susan Kellam has only one daughter, Meg...or does she? That doubt arises in the mind of Detective Eva Rae Thomas, as she wonders why Susan fainted at the sight of the bloody corpse of a young woman, pulled from her swimming pool. Why was the girl there?

Why does Susan leave her stuff at the hospital?

Why does Trevor have a knife in his truck?

Where's Meg's Dad and who's Noah?

You Better Run is the latest, unputdownable thriller from the Queen of Scream, Willow Rose. The 11th Eva Rae Thomas novel will grip you firmly by the imagination as you wrestle with the clues and try - but almost certainly fail - to work out who the manic serial-killer is.

YOU BETTER RUN is one TWISTY psychological suspense thriller! Talk about human evil, twisted and bizarre and convoluted and maximally unexpected revelations! Also this novel brings serious LGBTQ + rep, as the Series protagonists (FBI Special Agent Eva Rae Thomas is confronted by a non-binary approach and Gender Dysphoria in her immediate family (and emotionally stumbled and freaks out); and farther into the story comes an additional case of Gender Dysphoria with evil and tragic consequences. I read it in one I-can't-stop-reading session. There's also romance and other emotional entanglements, and some very perturbing scenes and multiple villains.

A great psychological suspense thriller that gives you all the twists and spins that you want to see by a fantastic author. Just when you think you have it all figured out ... Boom!! Meg Kellan was talked in to throwing a party while her mom is out of town. The next morning her boyfriend Trevor spots a body at the bottom of the pool. He dives in and pulls her out. The girl looks just like Meg! Does Meg have a twin? Is one of the twins good and one of them bad?

Loaded with suspense, twists, danger and lies. It goes back and forth from present to past so you get to see why this happened. This is book #11 in the Eva Rae Thomas series and can certainly be read as a stand-alone but don't ... start at the beginning and enjoy the ride.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I haven't read an Eva Rae book in a while and I plan to go back and catch up. I was impressed with the plot twists and they left me guessing until the end. Quick read.

You Better Run, the newest book in Willow Rose’s excellent Eve Rae Thomas series. When Meg Briggs wakes up after a wild party she discovers she’s been killed. Well, not her exactly, but the dead girl floating in her pool just happens to be a dead ringer for her! How is that possible and who killed her? Fans of the series will not be disappointed. This is one wild and twisty thriller. Thanks so much to Buoy Media for letting me read and review an ARC of You Better Run.

You Better Run by Willow Rose is #11in the Eva Rae Thomas series. Willow Rose is one of my favorite authors and I’ve read lots of her books. They are always thrilling reads. You Better Run doesn’t disappoint. It’s compelling from the very beginning.

Meg wakes up after a night of partying, a party she threw without her mother’s knowledge as she was out of town. She finds a girl dead in the pool. The thing is the dead girl is her! How can that be? She doesn’t have a sister, let alone a twin. When Susan, Meg’s mother comes home and finds out what happened she disappears. Why? What does she know? FBI Profiler Eva Rae Thomas is brought in to find out.

Multiple story and time lines make it a little confusing at first. There are many surprises as the story is reveled bit by bit. This is a psychological thriller you won’t want to put down. Lots of twists and turns in this twisted and bizarre story. It keeps you guessing all the way through. A ending that will leave you shocked.

I received a free ARC from the author, Netflix and the publisher Buoy Media and I would like to thank them for the chance to read this gripping thriller.

Well, of course, Willow Rose has done it again! You Better Run kept me on the edge of my seat, reading, until the wee hours of the morning. I was a bit disappointed that Matt is still being kind of a jerk, though he was a bit better than the last book.
After an insane party, Meghan wakes up to the huge mess that she and her friends have made. While cleaning, she looks over and sees a body in her family's pool., When they go to pull it out of the water, they're all shocked to realize that it's Meg's doppelganger. None of this makes any sense!
Meg's mom is shocked to arrive home to find
FBI profiler Eva Rae Thomas, along with several police officers, all over her property. Now everyone wants to know who was the dead girl and why was she even there, in the first place?!
Of course, Eva Rae is dealing with the normal issues that come with being a mom and the ups and downs of being a single woman.

YOU BETTER RUN is full of lots of twists and turns. Suspense thrillers are one of my favorite genres to read, and this one certainly fit that bill. I would most certainly recommend this book to others.

I was lucky to receive an advance copy of You Better Run by Willow Rose from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. I thought this book was a great read and held my interest to the very last page with all the twists and turns. I haven't read any of the other books in the Eva Rae mystery series and found it wasn't necessary however I will be going back and reading all the ones I've missed out on. Do yourself and start this early in the day as you will not want to put it down until you finish it.

Eva Rae is one of the most interesting female FBI agents in print. You Better Run has a writer following Eva Rae as she works a case that involves twins. This information is withheld in the beginning of the investigation and leaves the Cocoa Beach Police unable to make an arrest. The story is told by chapters in Then and Now. I had no idea who the killer was in this well told story. I was interested after reading the first few pages and the story held my interest right up to the last page. This is another exciting book from Willow Rose.

I received an Advanced Reader's Copy from Buoy Media through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are completely my own.

I love books by Willow Rose and this one was a great one! There’s a lot to unpack and I couldn’t do it justice, so what I will say is this… There was a girl who has a party while her mom is out of town The next day she thinks her biggest problem is cleaning the house before mom gets home, but now they find a dead body in the pool and here’s the kicker she looks exactly like the girl who had the party Meg! In another home in Cocoa Beach Eva Ray is talking to her oldest child who now wants to be called Ali instead of Olivia. As a loving mom she wants to get her head around this until she ask questions but like any teenage female child she gets annoyed and out of sorts and when either races so you don’t have a gender? Holly X claims “I do have a gender!“ and on and on until the phone rings her cell rings and finally they send over Matthew to personally get Eva Ray. They also have two other couples that’s involved in the story and eventually be connected in one way or another Eva Ray will also take a trip to Toronto and the whole time the guy she's“Not dating“ and who is also writing a book about her tags along needless to say Matthew isn’t happy about it at all. This book was so good and I thought I knew the ending when I was 75% done but I had no clue it was so good! I love Willow roses horror books but she really has great stories in the Eva Rea series are usually listen to them on audio but whether you read it on Kindle or listen on audio they’re always thrilling and have a surprise ending. I loved it! I received this book from net galley and the publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review but all opinions are definitely my own.

Meg is home visiting her mother and decides to have a party. Upon waking up she finds a body floating in the pool. A body who looks exactly like her. What in the world?? Who is this mystery girl?? I Loved it from the 1st page! This is a fast paced thriller that kept me on my toes. I thought I had it figured out and I was completely wrong! I loved that the chapters all had different different characters point of views. I had to pay close attention to the details of each one of the characters lives but it was so worth it! Very well thought out! Definitely a great read! Thank you netgalley!!

Susan has been running her whole life she did what she had to for her children and now the past is catching up with her. She can't tell anyone the truth as it is too unbelievable. She did what she had to escape from her husband. She did the best that she could.
Eva Rae knows that Susan is still alive after been attacking but she has disappeared they need to find her. But things just keep on getting stranger as new evidence has been found. Can Eva Rae unravel this puzzle? Will the past be put to rest for everyone involved? Or will more heartache follow?

She is trying to find the answers for solve the case but Matt is causing her major headaches as he has become more jealous about Alexander. All she wants is for everyone to get on. Can she find a way for everyone to get on?
I love Eva Rae as she is so relatable. She tries her best as a Mom but it just seems to be abit much at times. And things with Matt don't help at all.
Matt is a fierce protector but he is going about things the wrong way. I wonder if he does want to try again?
Thank you Netgalley & the publisher for the copy. This is my voluntary review.

I know I'm going to get a good, twisted, fast running story when I pick up a Willow Rose title. Her books run the gamut from crime thriller to horrow to scifi to paranormal to let's throw it all in the bowl and see what mixes up. This is book #11 in her Eva Rae Thomas series....one of her more conventional series. Detective Eva Rae Thomas has faced many challenging crime scenes in her career and managed to solve the crimes without too much permanent damage to her family or herself. The stories are all credible.....as fiction anyways....and you'll follow the trail with her as she catches some seriously bad, bad guys. Fast, easy reads that will keep you entertained.

Thank you for the ARC. This was my first book by this author and it definitely pulled me in. The ending was a little weird for me personally but I binge read this in a day so it was a ride for sure. And I agree with what Alex tells her in the epilogue 😉 I kinda want to read the next book to find out if she listens to him.

Characters are very well written, and I raced through this book. Gripping from the start and everything that a psychological thriller should be. Dont take my word for it.......read it ! You wont be disappointed
Many thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read an ARC 5 WELL DESERVED STARS!

When you're home alone , what are you going to do ?. Hold a party of course, that's what Meg did when her mother was away. Little did she know a night of partying will soon turn into a nightmare. The body of a young girl is found floating in the pool by Meg and her Friends. FBI profiler Eva Rae Thomas is called in.

😊What i liked -

✔ I liked how the book pulls you into the mystery in the first dew pages itself.
✔ I was constantly trying to figure out or you can say solve the case myself with every lead presented (of course i failed miserably) .
✔ The book is full of suspense, lies and unexpected twists.
✔ There is a hint of romance in the book , but I am glad it was just a hint.
✔ The book is fast paced , it keeps you at edge throughout.
✔ Even though this is book 11 in the series and i have not read the books before this, i did not feel out of loop.

🤔What could have been better -

✔ Though I loved the multiple storylines , I was sort of confused in a few places.
✔ I was a bit Disappointed towards the end.

P.s - I had always heard about the author's work but never read any. This being my first read of hers, I was quite taken by her storytelling. She has a knack of ensuring her readers are constantly thinking and wanting to know what's next.

Thank you Willow Rose, Buoy media and Netgalley for giving me a copy of this book.

This is from the Eva Rae Thomas series. Eva is called to the death of a young girl found in a pool. The wild thing is the victim looks just like the daughter of the residence.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC and to Buoy Media the publishers.

This was my first Willow Rose book read, and now I want to go back and start from the beginning! The characters are great even with all their flaws. And the interaction between them was comical at times and oh-so-realistic. The story is great and hooks you from the start: who is the girl in the pool and why does no one know her? I enjoyed the way the psychological layers were added, chapter by chapter, blending past and present. There were several times that I was blindsided in the story because 'I didn't know that was a real thing!' You'll get it when you get there in the story. And that was why the end was a surprise to me, on several levels. I love a book that can stump and surprise me - this one sure did! Fantastically written with characters that you want to spend more time with. Your best decision of this day should be to Read This Book!

This book is a fantastic thriller, Willow Rose writes an exceptional page turner!
The characters are intriguing, the mystery starts with Meg and before long the questions add up in this superbly written book!
As the authorities are trying to join the pieces together, the twists keep coming. The murder to solve, family dynamics and the unexpected, a fabulous storyline! .

Huge congratulations to the publisher, NetGalley and the author for providing this suspenseful thriller.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

When Meg Kallam wakes up from a night of heavy partying, she discovers a body in her pool, As shocking as that is, the dead girl could be her identical twin except Meg has no twin. FBI profiler Eva Rae Thomas is called in to investigate. Who is the dead girl who looks exactly like Meg, how did she get into the pool without anyone seeing her, and was she the target or was it Meg? And when she talks to Meg’s mom who also claims to have no knowledge of who this dead girl could be, why does there seem to be something off about her responses?

You Better Run is the eleventh in the Eva Rae Thomas Mystery series. It is a heck of a fast and furious thriller with all the non-stop twists and turns any thriller fan could ask for, the kind of book you need to put time aside for because you are not gonna want to put it down until the big reveal at the end. This is the first book I have read by this author but it definitely won’t be my last. I would like to thank Netgalley and Buoy Media for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I thought that the plot had a lot of great twists and turns that leave you guessing and hooked within the story. This was a head scratcher right from the git go. How can the dead body discovered in the pool look just like the girl who hosted the party and is standing right there when she’s an only child? So many questions as a reader……..and none of them what you expected.
Eva Mae, the famous investigator, while trying to solve this mystery is also dealing with her personal life: her kids, her ex, and a new love interest who is following her around to write a book about her. The ex is jealous, her oldest declares herself non-binary (which Eva is struggling with) and the new honey is constantly on her heels. She’s torn in so many directions.
The study of twins and the theory that there is a good twin and an “evil” twin is the premise of the underlying story. The characters proved this theory and you discover what the parents did when they realized this anomaly was happening to their family.
While the telling of the story was confusing at times (I had to backpedal on some chapters) I relate that to reading too fast to get to the next event ……..it is well worth it to slow down and wait for the finale!

Lots of characters and lots of twists in the story. I got confused a few times and had to go back in the story to figure out who some of these characters were, but i liked the way it ended.

I really enjoyed this book! It’s the 11th in the series though (which I did not pay attention to when I requested it). I’m really looking forward to reading the other books in this series! It was a quick, easy read that kept me entertained! Eva Rae is a detective and she has quite the case to solve. A dead girl found in a pool after a party, but no one knows who she is. She looks exactly like the daughter that lives in the house. Who killed her and what secrets are being hidden?

Having read a number of Willow Rose books, I think the Eva Rae series is my favourite.
I really liked this. There were so many twists and turns to follow, it was difficult at times. I can almost always rely on a good, fast-paced read when I start a book by this author and this was no different.
I don't think the ending was predictable. I couldn't quite piece everything together before the great end to the book.
I enjoy the development of the family side of Eva Rae's life in the books and that continued in this book.
Looking forward to reading no. 12 in the series.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC, this is my honest review.

This is the 11th book in the series. I haven’t read the previous books.

I loved this book. It’s a super fast paced thriller that keeps moving. The way the story all connected was amazing. You do have to keep track of the different names and timelines happening.
The twists and turns never stop till the end.

You could definitely read this as a stand-alone book. But I’ll be going back to start the series at the beginning.

This is the first book I've read by Willow Rose, although, I've see her name often in free book emails. I appreciate NetGalley allowing me to read it in exchange for a review. Anyway, I had no idea what to expect, but I was immediately drawn into the story and Rose's writing, so much so that I read the book in only a few hours. You Better Run is the 11th book in the Eva Rae Thomas series, except I didn't feel all that lost by starting at this point. I really enjoyed Eva Rae as the main character. She definitely seemed down-to-earth and "normal." I appreciated that the author tackled a tougher and time-relevant subject (gender dysphoria) and related it to the overall story about identical twins. As an only child, I have no idea what it's like to have siblings, let alone be a twin, but I could total see how the theory mentioned in this book could be true. Rose also provided a link to an article in her author note and that's so awesome for those who would like to read or research more on the topic. This book was incredibly fast paced, kept me guessing and at the end wanting for more. I look forward to reading more books by Rose in the future, although I'll probably start at the beginning of a series since I'm pretty OCD about reading books in order! I would highly recommend this book.
