Thank you for the ARC Netgalley! This was a cute children’s book. I enjoyed the rhyming and the illustrations were very well drawn. The story follows 4 critters who sneak into a school because they see the kids and think it looks fun. The storyline follows the critters and their school capers.

Cute story about four mischievous animals getting into a school because they went to learn. Unfortunately, they were allowed to stay. This book had fun rhymes and great illustrations they almost looked like watercolor.
Four Point Four Stars
Cute lovely fun story.
Four critters - a bat, raccoon, a chipmunk and a groundhog decided to go to a school to see what happens there. Each one gets inside the school and has an adventure there. Lovely rhythmic tale and cute illustrations and fun read meant for older children. Liked it.
Thank you for the ARC Netgalley.

This was such a cute read. i loved seeing the various antics the curious critters got up to and the chaos they caused.
Curious Critters Go to School! is an absolute treasure It is so stinking cute! Karen Rahill and Kristen McCabe created a story that is not only fun and engaging but also deeply meaningful. The woodland creatures' journey into the world of DeSales Elementary is filled with clever rhymes and charming illustrations that kept my 5 year old giggling throughout!
Beyond the adventurous plot, what sets this book apart is its focus on important social-emotional learning skills. My son was captivated by the animals' teamwork and problem solving skills (something we are always working on in our household). It sparked wonderful conversation about finding our strengths. It's a beautifully written reminder that we are all smarter and stronger when we work together.
We loved this!

Super cute book about a bear, raccoon, bat and a squirrel going to school. I loved the animation. The rhyming made it easy to add fun voice variations as you read.
It will appeal to many ages. My 2 year old loved it.

“Curious Critters” by Karen Rahill is a lively and imaginative story about a group of adventurous animals who sneak into a school and turn an ordinary day into something unforgettable. The playful writing and energetic illustrations make the animals’ mischief feel joyful rather than chaotic, and kids will love spotting all the funny details as the critters explore each room. It is a lighthearted, creative read that celebrates curiosity and sparks plenty of giggles.

Clearly leading by example, a school principal and her art teacher have got together here to present the case of four critters that tried to break in to their school for real a couple of years ago. The raccoon got as far as the staff fridge, ate the pizza waiting for the principal, and collapsed on the hall stage. I doubt the other animals turned up at the same time to make it a four-pronged assault, but it's fun to have it imagined that way, with the animals intent on checking out the place.
There is a touch of the 'you know, school is actually nice and fun' lesson for the newcomer here, but the heart of it is the whimsy of the animals and their approaches to breaking and entering. It's not really got a full moral or lesson, but rather is serving as entertainment, and the success of the rhyming narrative is a great part of that. It might seem like it's a vanity project, teachers writing themselves and their friends and colleagues on to the page, but it's much greater than that, and on this evidence the sequel planned for Jan 2027 seems fully justified.
