God Meets Us in our Suffering is a book dealing with cancer- while giving humor, encouragement, friendships, God, hope and everything in between!
This book starts with cancer and doesn't end there! I can fully believe this while reading the book.
It reminds us to be faithful, that there is always hope, the love of Jesus/his life/creation.... and that our God is always here even in all of our suffering.
There was a part of the book that I know I will be taking with me long after reading this book. "How's your grief?" I loved that part and how he had written it was like ripping off a bandaid to talk to his friends being raw and honest. My family will need this during our own time of suffering as I, have a family member who was just very recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung/bone cancer.
So yes, this whole book starts with cancer..... but doesn't end there at all!
It's hoping, being faithful, making sure to laugh, be real with one another, trust God to know what he's doing/being there through it all.... and that God will be with us in this life and the next.
